Missed Chance, Kickstarter, and Manufacture Search

Looks like I took too long to contact the people at WonderCon. I didn't submit my logos in time and dropped me. Oh well. That'll teach me. I submitted another application to Gamex. I haven't gotten word back if I'm in or not. Here's hoping.

I have a barebones Facebook for Tile Pile: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tile-Pile/225140894363316 I wouldn't mind having a real website for it though. I've had the Kickstarter ready to go, but I want this playtest at Gamex to be the final run before I think it's ready. At tabletop day, I was able to get 3 games in of my game. All of it was positive. One guy even wanted to do the kickstarter video for me after playing. I'm not sure of his credentials but I'm flattered either way.

Speaking of Kickstarter, I can't start up until I've decided on a manufacturer. I've talked to Panda, but the price seems high. Understandably high, but high none the less. 360 game manufacturing seems to be either dead or just not taking submissions.

Is there any other manufacturer I can talk to about getting quotes?

I am - by design! - not involved in the manufacturing side of things, so I can't speak to that.

As for your web presence, there should be more content. How about adding some pictures of the latest prototype being played, a copy of the rules, and a link to the BGG game entry page?

I don't have any pictures of

I don't have any pictures of play yet. Rules are complete but not finalized so I don't want to post a non-concrete set of rules. There isn't a BGG entry because I don't have a manufacturer to create the dimensions of the box and such.

My need still stands. I need manufacturers I can get quotes from.

Final rules are optional!

It is quite common for us designers to post the latest version of rules, so that others can evaluate and critique them.

It is understood that, with any such submission, the layout and art are just functional. The real goal is to assess the rules and internal balance.

You up for it?

I submitted my game to bgg.

I submitted my game to bgg. I'm just waiting to hear back from them. Better to have something on there than nothing. As for the rules, aside from not having them on this computer, I don't think there's anything which can be assessed without playing it. It's really down to which 2 variations people like best and still debating how many tiles I should use. I have an answer for the later, I just don't want to accept it. lol
