The newest playmat

It took me an hour and a half to draw while watching Blood Drive on SYFY.

Since 7-31-2017 not much has been completed on Dymino Monsters due normal work during the day and sleeping prettt much through out the days off.

But we have worked a little on our other projects.

Manuscripting our Beyond The Horizon 4th wall comedy pun web series and its spin off series.

No new game projects due to our other main projects.

Brand New Update: Monster Encounters

Today during slow time at work I worked on new monster encounters for the newest second chapter deck for the second novel.

25 out of 46 monster encounters has been created. I have also brought back a few old encounters from the third chapter deck in the first novel. Only 19 monster encounters left to fill out the list.

There are weather event cards that changes the game play for the heroes and encounters on the field. There are only 5 weather cards and one quick sand card. Can't wait to get these names on the prototype cards to go onto the third chapter deck for the second novel.

New prototype artwork added to the Prototype album.

In the picture provided in the prototype album you'll notice that I am currently working on the second novel franchise chapter decks. A few days ago I completed the text on my prototype deck on chapter 2. Now to add the attack and defense point system. Then work on chapter deck 3 this Sunday (tomorrow).

I also removed the third chapter deck title for the second novel franchise making the chapter decks in total from 42 to 41. There will still be 3 parts to the second franchise novel.

Its been a month and 2 days

since my last update for the game.

I took a break from the game to come up with new monster , humanoid and creature encounters. Nothing yet , but this is okay. As this game is always sitting in the back of my mind, I am always working on my other projects.

Today, I have completed our latest manuscript episode: 14 , for our scifi 4th wall comedy pun webseries titled: Beyond The Horizon.

We already know of other projects out there on the internet called Beyond The Horizon, but we wont talk about that.

In other news:

I have not worked on any other play mat boards since the last update.

We , my independent game studio has put a world premier game demo to be added to youtube after the game gets to a certain amount of views.

Being a game designer

Do you know what is best about being a game designer?

Able to stay up at 4 to 5 sometimes at 6:30 a.m. and working on game projects and writing manuscripts for a webseries or writing a manuscript for a movie for fun and to take a life experience and start coming up with another tv show manuscript. Do you know why?

Because we can. A fine moto in our independent game studio.

We also completed our last chapter and a half for our first generation larping storyline. Its was a fantastic 5 years to tell this story of ours. Now to continue writing our latest manuscript episode 15 season 1 part 2 for our scifi 4th wall comedy pun webseries Beyond The Horizon.

Brand New Update:

Last night and today I have been working on an old playable character deck to complete her weapon skill technique set. She , the painter , uses her brush staff as a weapon and paint brush.

This character was the original twelfth playable character until it was removed due to figuring out her weapon skill technique with a plausible combat and defense set. During the last two years of this small dilemma, I added a companion to another playable character named,"Bantalatal".

So in retrospect there will be 13 playable characters to choose from with their own 60 different weapon skill technique set.

Once the player gains all of the ranks of the weapon skill technique, the player can still combine upto 9 weapon skill technique cards for their own unique plausible combat and or defense or combined.

In other news:
No new play mat designs in the last two months and a half. Been working on new monster names. There hasn't been many to mention at this time.

Episode 16 manuscript for our Sci-fi 4Th Wall Comedy Pun Webseries Beyond The Horizon is nearly complete. Been busy at work and life and writing these manuscripts has been an amazing experience and blast.

On November 5,2017 while at the laundry mat and with my team, I create a brand new game in five minutes to entertain ourselves while we waited for the laundry to finish. This would make 28 games created on my list.

The game is a western shootout. A very simple dice target game. Players roll a d6 die. When someone says,"shoot" , players call out other players names on who their targeting on their box human figure drawings. A point system of 1 through 6. Points are on the box figure indicating where the bullet has hit. If a roll lands on a 1. The player's box figure has been hit in the head and the player is out of the game.

Dice used in the game:

1 white d6 for attacks.
1 red d6 for defense.

A 6 is on the chest. A 5 is on the waist. A 4 is on both left and right legs and both feet. A 3 is on upper / lower left and right arms. A 2 is on both hands. A 1 is in the head of the box figure human.

A 6 in the chest send the box figure to the ground. The player can defend if the roll lands on a six, if not the player can not counter shoot the box figure human who shot at him/her.

If a player is shot in a hand , arm or foot , the other player can defend and if defended with a higher number of the roll the player can counter attack.

Anyways, this game (the newest game created) will never be sold. Its a pretty fun game and was fun to design on a whim and to see how it would play out.

Brand New Update:

In the last 54 minutes this evening I completed the war paint scheme list for the playable character deck; Mimic Artist. The war paint scheme list of 40 cards that can be used on its own during game play or combined with the other ranking weapon skill techniques the Mimic Artist has learned and studied as an artist.

This playable character deck consists of 100 cards. Now to complete the list of the remaining ranking weapon skill technique deck for the Mimic Artist.

Brand new update

In the last two hours tonight, I completed 30 percent of the text on the front of the prototype cards for the Mimic Artist. I also uploaded my work in the prototype artwork area on this site.

What is left for the Mimic Artist prototype cards :

2: Write the title and theme on all of the 40 new cards.

This will be another few hours later today aftee waking up.

Mimic Artist prototype cards

Today it took me thirty minutes to complete the hand written title header on the obverse side for the Mimic Artist prototype cards.

Moments ago I have completed the Mimic Artist Ranking Weapon Skill Technique list. Now to add the list to the prototype cards tomorrow night. I will then add the final picture of all of the character weapon skill technique sets in one picture again. I also need to draw a conceptual design for the mimic artist profile character cards.

WORLD PREMIER:

I finally finished the 12th playable character ranking weapon skill technique prototype card set tonight as promised. Didnt take long either. After two full years in development, its an awesome feeling to accomplish on such a difficult task. I'm adding the picture in prototype artwork.

There is more to work on to see where it takes me and my group to playtest. Nothing new will be added on , like mechanic designs etc.
How ever , the monster / creature encounters list will also continue until I feel that the game is filled with the right amount of encounters. That goal of 5,000 of encounters is still on my list of goals.

New area/location playmats will be added not just for a replay value but also for storyline connects with the characters involved.

Tuesday night Playmat Review

For the last Five Tuesday night’s I have been showcasing my playmats during a video feed for public review. The views from each post decent for me. The views range from 5 to 25. But this also depends on text review and video review and other updates. The most views the game has ever received is : 374. These views came from an original poem I wrote for the storyline. That was pretty cool. But once again I let my game talk for me. Brand new update

Last night after another long decision of two / three years, I have decided to remove the Mannequin Graveyard chapter deck from the first novel set of The Wicker Tangle Chronicles. This chapter deck is not needed and it does not fit the storyline. However, This puts the chapters for the first novel part at 13 making all three part novel chapter decks at 41 instead of 42. Which is not that big of a deal to me. In the long run of things, there may be some ideas to come up with a new chapter deck title. Time will tell. Let’s see where the storyline leads me. Dymino Monsters new update

Dymino Monsters has been categorized wrong.

Dymino Monsters is a Deck Construction Hack N Slash High Fantasy Steampunk Card Game.

It used to be categorized as a deck building game.

I was saying the wrong definition for many years and well, at least I have figured it out now instead of later.

Well, let’s see here.

As I have mentioned many times that players can mix any chapter decks in the entire franchise to build a 80 max draw pile for the solo, co-op and multiplayer campaigns. This is actually a deck construction game not a deck building game.

In a true deck building game, players build their decks from other draw piles to eliminate the pile to build their core deck in front of them. Pretty much like drawing resources to build a common goal from everyone else in the game , example: Dominion. Which I just learned to play last Sunday. This is not what Dymino Monsters is.

Dymino Monsters is way more than its lead to be. Yes , you can build huge armies or build huge monster encounters from the entire storyline. From puzzles, traps, mammals, reptiles, flora, animals, etc. So in actuality, Dymino Monsters is both. A hybrid. Not sure it’s the first, but that doesn’t matter.

What players will see if this game ever it’s store shelves, it’s going to be categorized as a Novel Deck Construction Game. It’s theme and genre will still be the same.

In other news:

The Dual System will probably be it’s own identity of a game that is in the TriiDorium Universe.

I am still working on the game title.

The previous dual system mentioned previous posts will be intact. But I will add more of a fighting choose your fighter style roster flare.

Live Game Demo

On February 24,2018

We made a live demo for Dymino Monsters for one of the variations of game play. We were playing the dual demo on the Horn Gull Kingdom Playmat that was once called Rygar Kingdom Playmat.

Tomorrow on March 03,2018 we are going to put up another live game demo on Facebook Live Feed. This time a multiplayer campaign mode.

Since last Saturday on February 24 ,2018 we have had 60 views on the live feed demo. Pretty cool.

Second Live Feed Game Demo

Last night we played a multiplayer campaign with 3 players. Me (the creator), James (Monster co designer / playtester here at Twin Eagle Graphics Independent Game Studio), Ashton ( Monster co designer / playtester here at Twin Eagle Graphics Independent Game Studio) Tucker (Monster co designer/ playtester and our first time Moderator for our second time live game feed demo). We had two other game designers watching the show, Christoper from Shenanigan Games, Todd Aaron Mika who has written and created Grimmgard. We also had Grant J. From Wayward Travlers 777 Productions and fellow game designer who joined the conversation chat room. We also had Anne Stevenson from Legend Comics give us a like for our live game demo. And we also had Tiffany F. After the live game feed and waking up this morning we had 110 viewers watch the demo last night. Such a great group I have.

Sun Valley Battlefield Arena / Dymino Monsters

So last night I finally knuckled down and hand colored in my prototype 4 player battlefield arena. I took a breath , then sighed and jumped into coloring. Took me 4 years 5 months 23 days and 2 hours to convince myself to just do it. I’m not proficient on color schemes but I know what I like and know what needs to be used in colors for coloring. I don’t have a computer, nor laptop nor finances to do what I would like to accomplish. It’s not pretty but it works to showcase what the field may look like when I get to the point of realism on a pc. The reason why I dread coloring, it takes forevvvver. Ugh. But it’s quite fun and it’s a really great reward to have accomplished something for so long just to sit and color or write.

I tried putting up an image with the device I’m using but the bgdf was having a long difficulty breathing of just sighing,”Okaaay, here ya go. Your image is on the site now” and walks off. I’m being funny about the last part. Anyways it’s on my Facebook page on Dymino Monsters/ HornGull Kingdom page of your interested on what my colored Playmat now looks like.

Newest update for Dymino Monsters

I am working on a large scale Playmat location that will connect 15 playmats. It will have upper and lower levels. This 15 section Playmat location will then connect to other locations within the game world. In the last hour, I have drawn out 2 outline sections. The first section was completed on June 18,2018 by me. I am now going to add the picture to the Prototype Artwork file here on bgdf.

World Treasure Deck

So, here is what I started on tonight after 6 years.

The World Treasure Deck Title was created on Nov.28,2012. I had written some armor titles with descriptions, accessory titles with descriptions, items with descriptions, relics with descriptions, scrolls with descriptions and weapons with descriptions. There is about 30 descriptions for these cards written in 2012.

Tonight June 28,2018 I took out the armor category entirely, took out 8 weapon cards from that category.

Here is the new update tonight: June 28,2018.

I hand cut these cards out and gave some details to some of the cards.
Accessory Category - 120 cards
Item Category - 30 cards
Relic Category - 12 cards
Scroll Category - 20 cards
Weapon Category - 30 cards.

Total = 212 cards.

I started from 6:14 pm and completed 8:47 pm

I also worked on another deck for my second novel franchise of Dymino Monsters:

I hand cut these cards out and no descriptions yet. But I have been thinking about these trap cards and the details since Feb.2018.

Cave City Junction Chapter Deck - 30 Trap cards.

So far so good. The World Treasure Deck can be used in any of the three novel sets of the game. Just add to draw pile that consists of minimum 80 cards for the draw pile or maximum draw pile of 120 cards before game starts.

I completed the Cave City Junction Prototype Chapter Deck. I swapped out a few cards that didn’t work, wrote the descriptions and point system. I’m putting up my picture of the completed deck in the Prototype Artwork section.

Dymino Monsters re-themed

I am changing one part of the theme to my game Dymino Monsters. I thought a lot about this and talked it over with my crew and they are in support.

Dymino Monsters used to be themed as ,”High Fantasy , Steampunk”.
It is now ,”High Fantasy - DieselPunk” Novel Card Construction Game.

Why the change?

Well, dieselpunk fits the storyline much better than steampunk. Due to the technology resources later in the storyline and in the second novel and third novel franchise I am writing for my game.

In other news:

1) The latest card: Faeyton Deck is 75% complete in the Prototype design. Which consists of the Prototype design of index cards, point system and text.

2 ) I finally made up my mind on the World Treasure Deck after the fourth and final time since the deck title creation in 2012. It wasn’t about the 212 cards that has prevented me to continue with the design of the deck, it was more on the thought process of is this deck really needed for the genre and theme but the aesthetics of the game. Short quick answer,” No. not really”.

3: I am still working on the newest 15 connectable playmats. I had been busy with life, work and playing Grimmgard with my group and the creator during the last few days.

4: Dymino Monsters Novel: In the beginning, I started writing the novels in book form, but with a busy schedule the last 6 years of the idea for a novel concept, I did write 5 1/2 chapters. I was going to just write a manuscript for Dymino Monsters and call it a day. I have read the chapters to my crew twice in the last few years. Tonight, I read aloud the last 4 1/2 chapters to my friend and creator of GrimmGard, I received high great review. So, last night during the first chapter read through and talking with my group, I am going back to write the Dymino Monsters Novel format. The manuscript / screenplay has not been written yet. It was a thought process in post production.

Dymino Monsters update

Opening the door to the office, I stroll in to my desk. I flop down into the swivel chair like usual. I sigh and begin to work. I started working on this Faeyton Emotion Dweller Deck 6 months ago. During the days and nights, I sort through my thoughts about text, names of the weapons I wanted to write, armor to jot down, the function of the armor during gameplay.

Boy, I tell you. This was not the hardest chapter deck to go through and not the easiest. It was perfect. A challenge. A goal and a journey to get to the destination. Today after working six hours, cleaning the garage, pondering some more, editing and re-editing, I nearly fell asleep. But I was almost done. Then with the new ideas and trying so hard to come up with new weapon and armor names, I went with the most simplistic idea. I just went with the name of the armor 1 set and armor set 2 and proceeded to complete my chapter deck. The point system , descriptions on the emotion Dwellers are also completed.

I put up a photo in the gallery a few minutes ago before writing this post. I have 9 more chapter decks to complete for the second novel franchise in my game. Then there are the countless Playmats to draw and color in.

For the third novel franchise set. I do have a story, I do have a protagonist, and I am also working on a list of brand new monster/creature encounters for the third novel set. How many chapters or a rough estimated quests for the third novel set, you ask?

Well, with how the story is laid out in my mind, I would guess at least 30 to 40 chapter decks. Plus the play mats to work on for the third novel franchise.

So. All in all, I had a productive day. Going to take the night off and might sleep in early. Big plans for tomorrow. Nothing card game wise, mind ya. Mostly on the invitation for me to go to a Dagorhir event. So, I can’t wait for that.

Update to Dymino Monsters

From August 23, 2018 to September 14, 2018 I have completed the last 6 prototype chapter decks of the second novel franchise. This past week alone I diligently worked on the last four (4) chapter decks at the same time. The second novel is called Dymino Monsters: Wicker Tangle Chronicles. The chronicles will be split up into 3 parts with 3 chapter decks within each part. So there are nine (9) chapters.

In 2019 of January I will be starting on my third and final novel set franchise for Dymino Monsters. The titles to the third novel have already been placed years ago.

More playmats will be drawn, no more update photos of those or the prototype chapter decks. I will continue to write the novel next year and other details for Dymino Monsters.

Thank you all for the support, feedback and concerns to the game name many years ago. Most appreciated.

Update on my projects

Update: I have thought about it this evening and it’s the best thing for me.

The final 2 games I will ever write for Twin Eagle Graphics Independent Game Studio are Dymino Monsters and Quiet Terror. After these two are completely done, I will not be producing any more games.

For the manuscripts. I and my team have 11 seasons to write for our Beyond The Horizon 4th Wall Comedy Pun Web Series which will have 4 seasons left to write and the Spinoff Series Beyond The Stars will include 7 seasons as what my CEO - Co-writer says. After that. Who knows. Time will tell.

We will be going to Animarathon every year and still go to Rpg free day every year.

There is also for me to write the Dymino Monsters storyline and my other scripts for Soldiers for Christ WWII Christian Drama series and for the second season Soldiers of Christ. Oh , eh, and hopefully I return to my other Christian novel about a detective that I started writing way back in 1993. By the way that story has 5 chapters already and it’s not complete yet.

So as you can see, I have tons of stories to complete.

I have 1 family play I have written as well. It was written back in 2009 or 2010. It’s a funny play. Three part act.
