Hi all, i have few questions regarding to the size of the boards, what is classified as small, medium and large and is there a limit for board size, is it dictated by the printer company or the some other standards? Does every board needs to be printed in cmyk color space, or it can also be done in rgb, depending on the printer companys again? Handrawn boards and characters or vector ?

RGB is a method of blending

RGB is a method of blending colors based on light. CMYK is a method of blending colors based on pigment. White in CMYK is paper. White in RGB is full saturation of Red Green and Blue. Try that with actual paint and you get a dark grey/black color. Most printers can probably print files that are in RGB by converting them first. The conversion process may not always give the exact same results. The best possible solution is actually to use spot colors(custom inks so you always get the exact same result), but they are expensive.

I work close to a newspaper

I work close to a newspaper print, and spot color sometimes wreak havoc there. (Though it's not really the same thing as what board games are printed with) So by default I'd advice stick with CMYK, with RGB there might be some slight color alteration somewhere.

I'd bet the only "standard" to board size is the box you'd want to use, I've got no expertise on this matter...

Hand drawn (raster) vs. vector is just a matter of what you need. Simple shaded characters, drawings and logos, and graphics made of large colored areas are easily made vector, but more realistic stuff needs to be rasters to look good.
One thing to remember with basic (raster) images is to have their resolution high. 300 dpi is imo the best resolution to keep your stuff in.

I bet print houses can work with almost anything you shove at their way, save for the low resolution.
