Hi all,

I just wanted to share my current project with everyone, and I'd love to hear any feedback and suggestions on the idea. The game is called Hunters: The Adventure Card Game.

Website: http://www.huntersgame.com.au/

"Hunters is a fantasy adventure card game for 2-4 players, where you and your friends take on the role of battle-hardened monster hunters, out to fulfill contracts delivered to the Hunter’s Guild from lords and nobles to slay all manner of foul beasts.

Choose your class and build your character as a deck of cards consisting of attacks, spells and abilities, and then work as a team with your friends where card-based combat is joined with miniature-based movement in a hunting scenario hosted by a Game Master (GM).

During hunts, your character can gain experience and levels, allowing you to add new attacks to your character deck during the course of an ongoing campaign. As well as new abilities, your character can also recover a number of useful items during their hunts, such as treasure, weapons, armour, equipment, crafting materials, trinkets and hunting trophies, pick up valued companions to fight by your side, or sustain ongoing injuries that will stick with them for the rest of their hunting days."

We've been developing and playtesting this game for about 6 months now, and we're having an absolute blast with it. I'm hoping to release the Beta ruleset and 'print and play' Player Pack for free download online in the coming months.

Thanks for your time and interest!

Looks nice!

Just from quick reading and a beep at the website, this project looks and sounds like a complete package. Looking forward for Beta ruleset and 'print and play' Player Pack. Please post a reply here when download is available to alarm us who have interest in this project.

Thanks Miika! Will do. For

Thanks Miika! Will do.

For anyone interested, I'm also running a Developer Blog on the website to share my own experience in developing a game of this depth. I'm certainly no expert, but I do hope it helps other aspiring designers to get a look at the process and be inspired to try it themselves.
