Hello everyone,
I'm Lomberdia and I love card and board games. I have made 1 card game (still trying to market it, not my strong suit) and I have ideas and a beta of my first board game.

My card game is a trading card game. My board game is a co-op and competitive game. Like team vs team.

I am here to get advice, make more connections with fellow gamers and developers, and finally have fun while also spreading my own games and getting playtesters and such.

I will happily answer any questions about either game and I also have a print-n-play version of my card game on my website: lombergames.com

The card game is called Two-Sided Mirror and yes it's copyrighted. I got all the legal stuff done long ago lol. I tend to put the cart in front of the horse (or however the saying goes) but I am always listening to criticism and advice or tips to make my games and marketing better. So feel free to advice away!

Enough of my rambling.
Peace!

Welcome. Looks like you

Welcome. Looks like you launched a KS for it not too long ago. I'm certain that you will find some excellent advice here on how to improve your chances next time around. One thing I can say without hesitation is that you need to change the backgrounds on your cards. It seems like you were going for the whole laser cat high school photo meme with it, and the header image for the KS video had me glancing up to make sure my browser hadn't reverted back to Netscape Navigator:

Presentation is really important.

Thank you

I wasn't aware of that meme until now. The kickstarter thing was really not a well planned project, like at all. My first attempt and yeah, it burned lol.

Thank you for pointing that meme out to me. I might have to figure out something else for the backs. The card's backs look like that because the game revolves around a grid, which I tried to draw.

Yeah, you definitely didn't

Yeah, you definitely didn't live through the '80s then. Everything looked like that back then. Try watching the movie Xanadu. It will blow your mind.

Oh. I know Flash Gordon.

Oh. I know Flash Gordon. Brian Blessed is my hero. DIIIIIVE!!! I've even seen Flesh Gordon.

Xanadu is Olivia-Newton-John, old Gene Kelly, and Electric Light Orchestra.

Welcome!

I'm new-ish to the forum as well(a little over a month) and this forum has been nothing short of helpful. I'm sure the community can help you evolve as a designer in many ways, as it has helped me.

I looked into Two-Sided Mirror a little and even checked out the Kickstarter. I'll get back to you after I read everything you have posted in other threads but I'll say this... your Kickstarter was WAY better than mine. I'm a firm believer that you need to fail at least once to learn how to succeed and I'm absolutely certain this community can aid.
