Hi everyone,

I only started getting into board games 2 years ago, but since then I am obsessed, and my wallet is that much emptier because of it! :P

I've been working on my first game design for a while, and I am now waiting for my prototype to arrive from TGC, to test it out with friends and family.

And I realized that after that point, I really don't know what to do, or where to begin, so I started looking for sources of information on the interwebs. Every roads seemed to point to this place, and after browsing a little, it looks like a gold mine of information and feedback!

I am happy to now be a part of your community, and I will try to be as active as I can.

It' great to be here!

Welcome to BGDF! I assume

Welcome to BGDF!

I assume that since you have a copy on the way from TGC, that you have done some prototyping and play testing with cheaper materials? How'd that go for you?

Hey alright!

Bruno,

I've been here a day and an almost overwhelmed by the amount of help and understanding that is here potentially.

I will NOT assume that you did all that playtesting with cheap components (other than maybe with yourself and a spreadsheet) - so that case, my best guess is the next step after the friends and family playtest would be to make notes of the things that absolutely did not work in your BGC prototype - make painful modifications (or hotfix) to the nice prototype and then set up blind playtests with people who are not biased. While you are opening up your wallet to the vacuum of space, there are services that guide those for you for a novel fee.

Good luck!

WW

Hello & Welcome

Greetings, Bruno! Yeah, I agree: I think you found a great place. :)

Lots of useful feedback, opportunities to learn and improve, and an excellent resource to gain new ideas and bounce your current ideas around.

Enjoy, and make the most of your time here. :)
