Take the role of a bear competing for enough food to sleep all winter. Fast paced & easy to learn.

It's up and running, and ends on February 9th

Hey everyone!
I'm attempting to raise money for my game making company concept. The first game, Hibernation, attempted a Kickstarter and achieved over $1,500, but sadly I could not keep that amount because I did not reach the overall goal. I am now trying something different, that will allow me to retain any/all funds that are accumulated with Indiegogo. Thank you all in advance for any contribution you can spare.

THE CONCEPT
You’re a bear waking from Hibernation, slim & hungry. Time to prepare for next year’s big sleep. But alas, other bears in your surrounding ecosystem have become extremely competitive. You must race to gather as much of the available food as possible, while fending off foes along the way. To do this you will forage, frenzy, and even steal to stockpile your hoard of food. Better get going, winter will come fast.

OBJECTIVE
Hibernation is a Deck building game. Your Deck contains your means of finding FOOD. It starts out forlorn and bare, but you strive to make it a perfect library of FOOD collecting assets. Then, you eat your FOOD in proper portions to gain layers of fat.
The first one to achieve the 5 required layers of fat, via Hibernation tokens, gets to fall asleep - victorious!

CONTENTS
40 - FORAGE Cards (5 of each type)
28 - FOOD Cards (7 of each type)
Cards will be printed on 300gsm Premium Quality Card Stock
1 - Rule Book
All contained in a compact, easy to travel with, tuck box.

Please check out the link up top for more info!

Perhaps consider rephrasing your pitch to something other than the terrifying "My first Kickstarter failed, but there was money, and I wanted to keep that money. I am now doing something that will give me your money without requiring me to meet the minimum goal that I had previously set for covering production costs."

At least, that's how I translate it. How will you produce the game at $7/copy (or I guess $5/copy for your retail tier) if you don't meet your $4,500 goal? I don't quite understand how you'll cover shipping, taxes, and overhead even if you do meet your goal.

I didn't realize that was

I didn't realize that was terrifying
It's not what is written on the IndieGoGo site anyhow, just something I've said in forum posts and some social media
Just being honest about how the Flexible Goal works, I would think if you didn't tell people that would be underhanded/devious
And I think it helps to let people know that I was able to achieve quite a bit on my last crowdfunding campaign, so that there is potential there, and if you checked out the Kickstarter, you can see the goal is much higher, so I need substantially less based on the way I adjusted the prizes and manufacturing
Plus, all worries are outlined on my IndieGoGo as well, under the Story, on the bottom.

I appreciate your feedback, but I think you took the negative look at it, I think most would just see it as honesty/being earnest, which is what you want with a campaign, transparency

And the production cost for the game would not change based on how much I raise, it is constant. And like I've said in the IndieGoGo, I plan on using personal funds and seeking investments beyond the campaign, if it is unable to achieve the goal. If I don't make the goal it doesn't mean the project stops, it's merely a road block. There are many Flexible Goal projects that exist, how are any of them supposed get funding if this is how people view it.

It's about believing in the idea and the people behind it and wanting to support it. This is something I've strived toward for a long time now, it will happen, whatever avenue I have to travel, I will keep trying, and I will succeed.
