How would you word a card effect that removes a card from the game. I want to avoid reading 'remove opponent monster card from field' it just sounds boring and removes the immersive part from the game. I then went with 'destroy' I did that with my old game but wording it like that sounds to much like yugioh 'so far I'm going for 'kill' but worried that it sounds to violent. Another word I had was 'eliminate' but that is a long word and will take up card space.

It really depends on the setting/theme

I don't know the setting/theme, but it sounds like a Dalek's EXTERMMMMMINAAAAATE! wouldn't fit.

I think the word/term you

I think the word/term you want to use should tie in with the theme of your game. Use the Theme as your guide on what terms to use.

If its a monster hunting game - Capture
If its a monster battling game - Defeat
If its a monster killing game - Devour
etc...
