Greetings!

I'm working on an online tool for board game design with a colleague and we are first focusing on features related to prototyping a board game. We'd love to get your input if you have the time.

I'll post the questions here if you'd like to chat about it in this thread, but I've also set up a survey here: http://ca.surveygizmo.com/s3/50006682/Board-Game-Prototype-Experiences

Feel free to pick and choose which questions to answer below and if you have any advice for us we'd love to hear it. Thanks!

Questions

Tools

What tools do you typically use when prototyping a new board game?

What do you like about these tools?

What do you wish you could change about these tools?

Process

What is your typical board game prototyping process?

What are some of the challenges you face with this process?

Are there any tedious or repetitive parts of prototyping that gets in the way of iterating quickly?

Do you have any other comments about the prototype phase of designing a new game that you think might help us?

The Future...

Imagine a piece of software that you could have for prototyping your next board game idea. What would it do? Dream big; the sky's the limit.

Can we contact you in the future? (If you have an alternative method of contact, like an email, let me know...feel free to send me a direct message)

Thank You For Filling Out Our Survey!

Thank you to everyone who has filled out the survey so far. Your answers and perspective have been super helpful. I think we're on the right track so far. We'll definitely be in touch to those who have chosen to try the tools out and give feedback when we are ready to release our first proof of concept. I'll continue to check in to see if anyone else has filled out the survey in the future and let you know when we are closing submissions.

Thanks again everyone!
