Hello everyone!

As junior game designers, we have created a new board game called Dragons & Thieves. This game is inspired from the notorious classic family board games of the past. With the recent revival of board games from millennials, the objective of this project is to bring back the classic board game experience.
As for the game itself, the story is about selfish dragons that have decided to betray each other and steal each other's gold to become the richest and most powerful dragon around. To do so, each dragon has hired a thief to do their dirty work. Being the notorious thieves that they are, they take on the job to prove their skills and become the richest among the guild, for bragging rights of course.

The objective in Dragons & Thieves is to collect as much gold as possible before the turns are up. This can be achieved through our combat system. However, with various actions, events, traps, and other game changing spaces, this task may prove to be difficult after all. Designed for 2-4 players, this game is filled with unique elements that will shape the way you play each time.
On October 13th, 2017, we will be releasing our Kickstarter page where you can find more information on the board game, the team behind the creation, and the different ways you can support us!

As for now, you can find us on:

Hey Ted, welcome to the BGDF

Hey Ted, welcome to the BGDF Community.

I'd like to go over a major red flag regarding your KS Campaign. Please have an open mind when reading.

Your D&T social media accounts have no followers, or more importantly feedback, from your intended audience.

This makes me believe that you have not done your due diligence in engaging the public before launching your Kickstarter. Please note that this severely hurts your chance at success, as almost all Kickstarters fail to meet their funding goals if they have not built a following. Your following is critical to success because they are the people who will be ready to back the first couple days and build your foreword momentum.

Too many people believe that the normal Kickstarter audience is enough to successfully fund a game, and that is almost never true. That's only one reason why having a following is critical.

I'm not trying to be a jerk or crush your KS dreams, but trying to help you understand the realities of Kickstarter. Why do you think your KS project will successfully fund?

Hey WinsmithGames, Don't

Hey WinsmithGames,

Don't worry, I completely understand what you're saying and will gladly take it into consideration for this Kickstarter and future references. Indeed the marketing is lacking, and we're doing the best we can with our resources and time as of current.

With that being said, our Kickstarter is now live for everyone to view!

Check it out if you're at all interested!

Thanks for your support.

Best regards,
Ted
