Hello All,

I wanted to take this time to explain why the Google AdSense Ad which is on the Right-Hand Side of the website (just above the Thread listing per day) has been temporarily disabled. I NOW realize that Google maintains a strict (and boy do I mean STRICT) policy concerning ads which is NOT clicking on my own ads.

Because I had clicked on a couple ads here and there, it looks like AdSense has BLOCKED Ads for 30 days. And this is specifically MY FAULT, none of yours...

The Ads that I was getting were so INTERESTING, I followed some of them.

Stuff like various KS Ads, Online MMOs, AliExpress Ads, etc. I was unaware that they would DISABLE ADS for 30 DAYS!!!

Maybe send me a WARNING FIRST: Like "Please refrain from clicking on your own ads... Otherwise you account will be suspended for 30 days."

Something LOGICAL like that not these Draconian Practices of STOPPING ads for 30 days WITHOUT any forewarning or notice!

Anyways Ads should resume showing by the 30 January 2023. My apologies for the BIG GRAY box on the RHS... Soon it will be showing ads again regularly.

Cheers.

In 5 days... AdSense by Google should be up-and-running!

Just wanted to let anyone know that my BAN "period" will end on 29 January 2023 and the ads from Google should resume. Although this is not too important for the function of the website... It is another source of "passive" income to pay for Hosting, Backups, Domains, etc. All that good stuff that goes into allowing me to HOST and offer this forum to all the members and lurkers alike.

So please be patient as the reserved area for AdSense Ads remains BLANK ... It should be serving ads soon enough. I know from what I have seen with my own two (2) eyes that BGDF.com Ads are VERY "Targeted" and even interested myself, the reason for the initial BAN (I was clicking on my OWN ads... I should never, ever do that again) and so you live and learn what NOT-TO-DO! Hehehe...

Again no worries that should restart in 5 days. And to explain to you all... I made $3.96 USD in 1-Month of serving Ads via Google. So it's not a lot, but like I said for some passive income, it's worth the NO-EFFORT required by myself.

So it's not like I'm striking it rich... More like something to pay for the domain (for example). One of several costs offset by the passive income.

Best.

What a goofy restriction

If they can identify the clicker as the owner of the hosting site... why not simply NOT COUNT those clicks?

It makes perfect sense for the owner of an ad-hosting site to test the ads at least occasionally.

At least the blank spot has a nice little gradient going on.

Yeah YOUR ideas make a LOT of sense.

IDK, you'd think they give you a WARNING like:

We've noticed that you've been clicking on your own ads. Please be aware that this is against our policy and if you continue to do so, your ads will be suspended for 30 days.

If they would have sent me THAT warning... I would have stopped "Clicking" RIGHT AWAY!

But your arguments are VALID indeed: if they know it's me, just ignore my clicks...

Yeah I can TEST ... But I was getting all kinds of COOL stuff on the ads like a KS for a welding kit, plus a bunch of half naked women in g-strings (Hahaha)... No seriously there were a couple KSs (I don't remember all the ads) and there were others of interest (the only one I can remember is the welding kit on KS...) I think there was an MMO I had never heard of too... Which seemed cool too... And so I clicked.

Now I know... I need to IGNORE the ads and let OTHERS click on them! Hahaha!

Cheers!

WARNING

WARNING: There are several actions you could take that will result in your AdSense account being suspended for 30 days, during which time no AdSense content will appear on your site and you will receive no ad revenue.

None of these actions are listed anywhere in your hosting agreement, and we may even change what they are from time to time without notice.

Just know that we're watching, and the only way you'll know you did anything wrong is through a suspension notice.

WARNING...

Well the Ads are now back to working, I've been getting them for the LAST HOUR (around 11:00 PM EST). I'm just watching the ads as I work on the website. Again they are VERY "Targeted" another MMO (Hero Wars) appeared (I've seen the ads on YouTube before... But never in our BGDF.com AdSense Feed).

Enough said... Enjoy the Ads. If there is anything that catches you eye(s), feel free to CLICK and have a better look.

Cheers all!
