Timber!

Timber! 4 Player Set-up and Labeled

Timber! is a game in which the players take on the role of fledgling lumber companies competing against their siblings for their father's vast amount of real estate. The game is played over 4 years with each year consisting of an Action Round and a Harvest Round. During the Action Round players will move their Pawns along a track of cards in order to take a variety of actions which will allow them to purchase Lots of land, affect the values of the Lumber Cubes to be shipped, acquire additional Lumber Cubes, gain Truckers for shipping, among others. In the Harvest Round the players move the Lumber Cubes on their Lots downstream to the Loading Docks where they're shipped to market. But players must chose their Lots wisely since they'll need to pay a fee to other players whose Lots they pass through on their way to the Loading Docks. At the end of each year the players spend all of their money on Victory Points, Fleet Trucks, new Lots, and Tree Farms (to replenish their already harvested Lots). Victory Points increase in cost each year so players must decide when to invest in property and when to turn their profits directly into the all important VPs.

The rulebook doesn't have a "parts list" in it yet so here's what I have in my prototype and it seems to be pretty close:

For each player (it plays up to 4): 4 Pawns for the Action Track but you'll only need 2 of them for a 4 player game. I'm using these:

22 Landmark Tokens, and 1 Victory Point marker. I've been using these for the Landmark Tokens and a little bit larger one for the VP marker:

Yellow/Red/Blue/Green/Brown lumber cubes: 40 small (1/4") / 18 large (3/8") of each

24 Tree Farm markers (I made some adorable little tree shaped things but use whatever you want)

3 four-sided dice, though you'll only use 2 of them for a 4 player game.

If anyone is ambitious enough to look at all these files and read through the rules I'd love to know your thoughts and questions. Thanks!
