One of the best design blogs I've found is danielsolisblog.blogspot.com. I'm consistently impressed by Daniel Solis, who is not only a brilliant designer, but articulate and interesting, with a well designed site.
Any other recommendations? Where can a designer go for insight and inspiration? Other than BGDF and BGG of course.
I agree Daniel Solis has a good blog. A few more you may want to check out:
Lewis Pulsipher (though he often post things here and on BGG) http://pulsiphergamedesign.blogspot.com/
Jeff Allers (often found here on BGDF) http://berlingamedesign.blogspot.com/
Hyperbole Games (design articles by Grant Rodiek and other guests) http://hyperbolegames.com/
Ludology is a good podcast to listen to for ideas: http://www.ludology.libsyn.com/
I'm sure there are plenty more.
Those are some great suggestions, thanks.
I attended a design discussion panel with Daniel at Gen Con in 2011. Good sense of humor and a lot of good ideas to consider for design. Definitely worth a look...
Hyperbole games has a great design blog: http://hyperbolegames.com/blog/
As does (of course) Tasty Minstrel: http://playtmg.com/blogs/michaels-blog-1
Not a design blog, but Shut Up and Sit Down has possibly the best, most polished, and entertaining review/video series on board gaming out there. http://www.shutupshow.com/
Just added them to my RSS reader.
