When submitting an entry to the GDS Challenges, here are some guidelines on how to format the text of the entry to make it easier for the Challenge administrator to copy and paste your text to the BGDF forums. --- Any notes to the Challenge administrator should be added to the top of the entry, followed by a separator line. The layout below the line is simply intended to give examples of how things can be formated. Each "section" would likely be things like Components List, Setup Instructions, Game Play, Scoring, etc. I prefer to use the Markdown Input format on the BGDF forums ... so that is the formatting used below. If you're familiar with Markdown, feel free to go beyond what's shown here, as these examples are just one way of doing things. --- #Game Title by Author Name *Introductory story or text to give theme and flavor, if needed.* ##Section 1 - Section Headings ###Sub-Section 1A Headings are indicated by putting one or more pound/hash symbols ("#") in front of the heading. The game's Title should have a single hash and each section within the game should have two. Add hashes to indicated each layer of sub-sections. ##Section 2 - Bulleted and Numbered Lists - Bulleted List Level 1 Item (start the line with space-hyphen-space) - Bulleted List Level 2 Item (start the line with 4 spaces, then hyphen-space) - Bulleted List Level 3 Item (start the line with 8 spaces, then hyphen-space) 1. Numbered List Item 1 (number-period-space) 2. Numbered List Item 2 1. Numbered List Item 2-1 (4 spaces, then number-period-space) 2. Numbered List Item 2-2 ##Section 3 - Bold & Italics **Bold** text is accomplished by wrapping text with two asterisk characters on each side. *Italics* text is accomplished by wrapping text with one asterisk character on each side. ##Section 4 - Including Images Instead of doing actual Markdown formatting of image tags, I would rather have you give an indicator to me as to which image should be inserted where. Such as this: {Image #1 - mycoolboard.jpg - goes here} I will then replace the instructions with the actual Markdown tagging needed to show the image.
