Dice Duelz - back to life!

I cannot believe Im writing this - but after almost 4 months of hiatus - the project is slowly coming back to life. Summertime currently keeps me from working on anything serious, but there has been progress and autumn is just around the corner.

But first things first: It took my artist 9 freakin' weeks to draw 5 vector icons! thats over two months! Well, on the other side they look really cool, are scaleable and did not cost more than a slice of pizza. I'll show you the icons in the next blog post.

A few changes have been made to the rules as well, we reduced the number of elements from 5 down to 4 and deciced to go with the "classic" elements of Fire, Water, Earth and Air.

Then there is a new Icon "Initative" that is used to determine activation order of monsters, this solved a lot of the timing problems in the game.

And a smaller change is "elemental advantage" - similar to Pokemon, each Monster is strong against a Monster of a certain element. Just a small extra rule to spice things up a bit more.


I think thats all for now. still no progress designing new monsters and their abilities, as we have some imbalancies in the core rules to iron out first.
