Wow ... That is cool too!

You guys at TGC are really working "over-time" with all these new additions. $2 for custom screened full color d6s is real COOL! I'm sure a LOT of designers will be very pleased with this new addition!!!

It will increase the flow of creativity 10x... Really truly impressive.

And it's super practical additions that most (if not all) designers can benefit from...

Can't wait to see what's NEXT! You guys rock...

In single unit quantities?

In single unit quantities? That's impressive.

Edited original post to make this more clear

Hey Jay103,

Our announcement needed to be more clear because the $2/each pricing is if you order 6 or more dice. If you need less then it would be $5/each. Thanks for bringing this to our attention so we could make this more clear. Happy designing!

Sorry, yeah, that's what I meant (I did figure that out on your site.. I assume that's 6 of the same die..)

Even so, very good price for tiny quantity. My game needs molds made and it costs like $1000 (for 8 different dice) from one supplier.

print on demand is flexible

Actually the dice can totally different in terms of what artwork is on them. You can mix and match however you want. :) That is the beauty of the new offering!

We've done lots of research on other manufacturers and we know our pricing is best and that our system is the most flexible for game designers. We spend a lot of time talking to our community to find out what they want and then we leverage technology and processes to get the costs down. Thanks for the feedback on our pricing. We're glad to hear you agree. :)

Molds are soooooo expensive but are justified if you're in need of massive dice. But our solution will be great for a lot of folks who don't need that many.

Don't shoot the messenger

Doing the math, I'm not really certain how this make sense.

If it's $5.00 for 1 to 5 dice = $5.00 to $25.00.

And it's $2.00 for 6 or more dice = $12.00+. The math doesn't add up.

If I make a game with 6 dice I SAVE $13.00 dollars... I'm not a math wizard but don't shoot the messenger...

My numbers look like this:

If it's $2.50 for 1 to 5 dice = $2.50 to $12.50. This is $0.33 per face less than 6 dice.

And it's $2.00 for 6 or more dice = $12.00+

But I understand there could probably a HANDLING or TOOLING fee of like $2.50 (for the first die). So that means $5.00 to $15.00 and $14.50+ for 6 or more dice...

Something like that might be more reasonable. Otherwise all I need is to include 6 dice instead of 5 or less and SAVE the $13.00...

You should clarify that, because it's a big selling point.

Though I don't see how economy of scale helps you there, so it seems like you'd be losing money on low-selling games with 6+ dice that are different.. But good luck :)

Yeah, if you need 3 dice in your game, you'll save money by including a duplicate of each. Usually the quantity breaks on this sort of thing are not quite so large.

Sorry Quest, no.

Just like all of our other engraved dice, it is a rainbow of prices. $5 for the first dice, then less for the second, then less for the third, and so on until you get to the cheapest option of 6 dice.

Oh okay sorry...

I thought it was $25 USD for 5 dice and $12 USD for 6 dice... I checked it out on TGC and understand that the price breaks increase as you order more than one (1) dice...

I misunderstood how the pricing was to work. But I see with a sample game, that 5 dice are not $25.00 they are $13.00 (-$12.00 discount).

Again my apologies... I didn't understand that the pricing break vary from the amount of dice ordered per game...

It's very clear and honest (and fair) how you guys have priced the custom full color dice... The existing pricing is very positive and reasonable. I actually think it's better in terms of the cost!

Cool... Sorry for the confusion, I didn't know price breaks occurred for each dice ordered.

Note: The pricing is really awesome... First it's POD so usually more expensive ... but these price breaks are phenomenal because as other designers have pointed out CUSTOM d6s cost several $100+ of dollars for making molds. Sure it's rather inexpensive per die (like under $0.10) but you need to factor in the price of the mold which is not possible in POD.

So great for you guys ... in making it so affordable.

And just as an FYI, $5.00 for one (1) custom d6 isn't too expensive if your game only requires one die.
