I've made it as far as the first page of the new site, and I give it two thumbs up. I think that you have a great site, although it is underpopulated with items to choose from. The old site also tended to not be search friendly. Glad t see you updated things. I'll explore a little, now.
I like the wood background,
I like the wood background, for the front page, with the images laid atop it.
I am not a fan of it, however, for the pages with text on it, such as your news page.
The buy pieces page I like,
The buy pieces page I like, and again, the front page. I don't care for the forum, or pages populated with lots of text. That dark gray background for the forums ensures that I wouldn't spend much time there, trying to read what's posted. It's too much of a strain on my eyes. Black text on white background would be best, from a contrast point of view.
Anyway, I was excited to see that you were revamping your cite. The only thing that I dislike about the front page is the light gray area at the bottom. Just make it white, and that would fix that, as far as I am concerned. Otherwise, the front page looks nice, very professional, I think.

On my phone. First thing seen is a huge scrolling ad thing. A tiny Game Crafter logo above. The menu with interesting things is at the bottom after scrolling past all the big ad images for various games.
