The Game Crafter - The Game Crafter now makes foil sealed booster packs and booster boxes!

The Game Crafter can now make print on demand foil sealed Booster Packs! (yes, that means we can make just 1 or as many as you need.)

Watch our new video that introduces both products at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ot-dv5kE8I

Booster Packs are great for small expansions and CCG/TCG games in the vein of Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon. We can also produce Booster Boxes which give you a retail display for stores and conventions.

The Booster Packs hold up to 18 poker cards and are custom printed on the fronts of the packs. (we do not print on the back).

The Booster Boxes hold 20 of the Booster Packs and you can even mix and match different booster packs within the same box!

Mix and match

So it’s more of a model where the packs in the box are all the same, not random boosters, obviously (?)

Actually YES and NO!

The Game Crafter (TGC) allows you to:

A> Define your Classes (Common, Uncommon, Rare, etc.) Up to 5 Classes.

B> Associate each card with a Class

C> Do Random selection of each Class (like 3 Common, 2 Uncommon and 1 Rare)

D> Do Random (No duplicates too!)

You can actually NOW do a CCG/TCG POD!!! Which is insanely AMAZING! This is a HUGE Game changer.

WOW! That's all that I can say...

Note: You can also do "Fixed" boosters by using "All Cards" as the Decks option...

And the MOST important part

Is NOW you can EMBED games into another game...

This has got me tripping because now I can define 15 "Nobles" and create a "Random Booster" with 10 cards (4 Common, 3 Uncommon, 2 Rare, 1 Mythic) and then ... EMBED that into a "Starter Kit" which contains the "Booster" + All the necessary parts required by my game...

This is so FREAKEN AWESOME!

People are going to go absolutely nuts with these new additions!!!

Note: This allows me to define 3 TYPES of "Booster Packs": Nobles, Champions and Boons. And add ONE (1) Booster of each type to the "Starter Kit" which contains a bunch of parts. Totally amazing!

Note #2: In addition, I can add ONE (1) to FIVE (5) "Adventure Packs" (which are 18 card FIXED boosters) depending on the pledge level chosen by the Backer. So the "base" model comes with one (1) "Adventure Pack" and those who are interested in MORE can choose upwards from two (2) to five (5) Packs...

Update #1: The price it's giving me for "Quest AC v2" is $66.82 USD. That's my cost (without artwork). That cost drops to a bulk price of $55.70 USD for 100+ orders. This all means that the game will cost about $79.99 USD (when I add up all the components separately).

Now I've got to continue to work on making the game amazing too! LOL

Update #2: My "Random" Booster (10 cards each) cost $6.99 USD and my "Adventure Packs" (Fixed Booster with 18 cards) cost $11.99 USD. My parts add up to about $25.00 USD (including the box and rulebook).

So 6x $6.99 + 1x $11.99 + 1x $25.00 = $78.93 USD (like I said almost $79.99 USD - which will probably be the price of the game)...

We'll see if any of this leads anywhere! Right now it's just speculation.

Update #3: I realize that for a 1 to 2 person game this is not "inexpensive". But at the same time it is Print-On-Demand in the USA. So for various reasons, if you want to support USA-based companies and the things they are doing... Well it's a bit pricier.

I think the same could have been done for about $49.99 USD (with the same configuration of boosters + starter kit). So $30.00 USD is a fairly large chunk of additional money to pay for USA/POD...

But the risk is lowered and the fulfillment is simpler, the game is "virtually made" (all that is missing is the cards: Graphic Design and Artwork) and finalizing the game itself.

It's print on demand so we're flexible :)

You can absolutely mix and match the Booster Packs you want to include in the Booster Box. As Questccg mentioned, you can use our card deck randomizer feature to set different classes and the games are randomly generated with different cards in them. You could also have fixed packs and put a couple different types into the Booster Box. Really up to you.

Questccg really tapped into the excitement that a lot of folks are experiencing right now after we announced it. This is a big deal for a lot of ccg and tcg makers. Technology is really allowing us to do some amazing print on demand things. We're releasing new stuff each day for the next 4 days too! (see news.thegamecrafter.com for more details on that) Cheers

What I love about TGC...

Instead of dealing with quotes from China where you're not sure about the quality of each individual item... And believe me I have gotten some strange quotes from China too!

Things that I had priced with a broker and the Chinese quote was much higher for a FOB of 2,000 units. I wanted a quote for 500 MOQ and they made mistakes such as 4C/0C on certain components, so if I wanted that fixed, it would be additional money to the price...

Really a bad experience dealing with quotes. And they can cut corners on so many levels, it's not funny.

But "The Game Crafter" (TGC) allows you with Placeholders to quickly put together a PRODUCT and figure out the cost of what it is you are planning to develop. That's a very strong point and you can do it yourself without any assistance from the folks over at TGC.

It's great that it doesn't take a week and a fudged-up quote meant to suck more money out of your budget (as I have already experienced once).

Everyone's experiences are different... Some might be hesitant to offer a pricier product. I don't mind. Will backers feel the same, IDK(!?) They at least don't cut corners like some other global manufacturers...
