Could you explain what it is we are seeing???

I know this is a 4 Player End-of-Game picture (from the description) ... But I have no idea how or what the score is... Can you explain to us HOW to score this End-of-Game??? Like maybe say "Purple" player scored X and "Yellow" player score Y, etc.

And then maybe go into some kind of "breakdown" on how that score was achieved. I checked and there was no BGG page for the game. That would be a good idea to SETUP! When your game is MADE it's time to add a BGG page so that MOST of the Gaming community can find, learn and maybe buy your game!

Note #1: I downloaded the rulesheet from The Game Crafter and I believe it's 2 points per separate "matching panes". Correct me if I am wrong. But I'm not sure what the "Rosettes" do?

So "Purple" Player scored 22 points and "Yellow" Player scored 22 points.

I'm not sure because of the "Rosettes"... Anyhow an explanation of the score and how you compute it ... could be nice... instead of just showing us a picture and not explaining any of it!

I understand the BONUS end-scoring...

But I'm not sure HOW to compute a normal turn's points. If you REVEAL the points you score, doesn't that reveal what your "Secret Objective" is??? I'm really confused about the "Rosettes", can I play a card on TOP of another (or maybe partially), etc.

Is this like ANYTHING goes or are there some rules to follow? How do you tally your score and validate it ... If you don't want to reveal YOUR secret objective?? I think the game is interesting ... but I'm not 100% certain I understand you rules correctly.

I guess it's probably something I am missing... But I'm not capable of playing the game with the rulesheet provided.

Can you explain further (or clarify my confusion)?

Maybe I'm starting to understand...

Is there at MINIMUM one (1) "Rosette" PER CARD??? I think I am starting to understand.

Turn scoring you use a CARD with a "Rosette" and then you play this card anywhere in play in which you SCORE for the "Rosette" on your card. So it doesn't matter what you secret objective is, what counts during your turn is trying to MATCH a "Rosette" with panes of the SAME COLOR to earn POINTS.

(Am I sort of understanding this correctly now???)

And then at the END you compute BONUS points by adding 2x the number of sections for your secret objective (in groups).

Have I understood correctly???

Here are better rules. Improvements still needed.

Sorry, I haven't posted the updated rules because I am still working on them. In a play test yesterday, I tested with complete non-gamers, and it turns out my rules are not nearly as clear as I thought. I want to re-do them again and expand everything to a nice two pages.

Here is a link to the rules as they are now:

Yes you got it, each card has

Yes you got it, each card has a rosette on it's own single color that needs to be matched up. The game ends up being fun because everyone is motivated to join colors together for bigger scores, but your end bonus is dependent on breaking your colors up in to small groups (1 or more squares)

Something to consider

I will read your "updated" rules... But I have ONE (1) Suggestion that will be irrelevant to whatever changes you've made in the rules.

1. When calculating the BONUS points at the END of the game, ignore any cards with a "Rosette" that are not in a group.

Why? Well because it can be HARD to see the right "pane color" under the "Rosette". I know this will impact scoring ... But I think it will greatly improve the functionality of "Bonus Scoring".

It looks like a cool game. Once you finalize all the rules and make a four (4) version available to buy (probably via The Game Crafter)... I will buy a copy!

My family enjoys playing these kind of "Puzzle" games and I really like your approach to the game. The only thing is that I want a game that is finalized and it seems like this is not yet 100% ...!

Interesting dichotomy

Yes... That's exactly why I think your game is 1,000x better than Chromino. To be real honest, Chromino is BORING. There's 0% strategy. Sure sometimes you need to figure which tile to place first (in the event you have matching tiles)... But there's no Points (or scoring) it's all about being FIRST to rid yourself of your five (5) tiles. VERY BORING.

I'm waiting until the 4 Player version is "100% done" ... And you can signal that fact.

The dichotomy of wanting larger colors joining versus breaking up into smaller groups is VERY COOL indeed!

It can really be incredible to have someone who has played the game a few times, help you write the rules. Even if they haven't played the game, but read the rules and make comments on how they would say it. Send me the rules when you are finished and I'll do just that if you like.
