My first Board Game

[Spy vs Spy] is my first board game. I do not remember when I have this board game. It may be around 12 years old. The instruction sheet I had lost! This board game give me fun with my brother and sister.

Downfall: Grevling

demo.png

Well after painting the Horg I felt I learned a lot and tried to do another unit, namely a Grevling. Well it was a success; however it looks too good when compared with the Horg so I am going to have to go back and repaint the Horg with all the new skills I learned.

Here is a reduced sample of the Grevling. Any feedback is welcome.

Painting. What do you think?

Updated Version

So my tile laying RPG is coming along great, but slowly... I have finished the artwork for one unit, it is called a "Horg" and I am seeking feedback and critism in order to make it better. I am going to have the units be simple paper fold outs because A) I don't want to make actual models and B) I actually like paper fold outs, I think it is a game design not used enough now a days.

So any feedback is welcome :)

Hello Board Game World

Hi All,

My name is Joseph Chan. I live in Hong Kong. I like board game very much and I want to be a Board Game Designer. I hope Board game can be popular in Hong Kong. I like designer Board Game for Kids most. Very happy can find this Forum and Join. Hope to share to all of you.

am I at the right place?

When I was a child our family played a fast paced game with 2 or 4 players. I've never played any other game like it. It was great fun and would make a great game to market by itself - like Uno. Is this the right place to start? Thanks.

Jump Gate

"Jump Gate" is a new design that has evolved from my September 2009 GDS Challenge entry that was called Deep Scan.

Things have changed quite a bit from that design, although players are still spaceship pilots exploring planets and collecting resources.

Instead of a 3x3 grid of planets, 9 planets are placed in a circle around a pair of small center boards and a deck of "NavComp" cards. Resources are also represented by cards that are distributed among the planets.

Manufacturing/logistics

I have almost final artwork for the board, have another friend working on some images, and might be using a board for the base instead of tile (for cost restriction, and ease of set up).

Hexagonal Chess notation

"Rose Board Recipes - new games and old to play your way" is available this weekend as a .pdf version free and as an A5 194-page paperback 195 pages £5.00 published by Parker Wilk Solutions Ltd from me. The aim of the book is to establish a standard notation system for hexagonal Chess boards. And to raise funds for St Albans Cathedral UK. More soon.

Grevlin Sketch

Look ma, it is a Grevlin...

Need to fix the collar around his neck, but all in all 90% satisfied with this sketch. I will color it over the next week or so; and if I like it will actually make it into paper fold up pieces for my game.

Comments are welcome.

Ohh, by the way the image is hard to see. It is off to the right, just click on it to zoom up.

Free at last....

Goodbye!
