Airing Game Ideas

I found one of the real strengths of BGDF and a big reason I was attracted to it was the very ability to "Air" my game ideas, and get some pretty swift and thoughtful responses. I finally completed a game I am proud of and recently submitted it to Hippodice, manly from the encouragement and criticism I recieved by posting it to the "Game Design" list.
I find that with the Journals, it is hard to get anyone to make comments on what I have written. Is there a way to get more people to view the journals or can we start airing our ideas on the main page again?

Hey Trik,

Try to get a spot on the Game Designers Forum. If you email jwarrend about a spot into it he'll reply with an answer. Its pretty open right now so you'll most likely get a spot.

Although he said he was going out of town for a little while.

We're also revamping the journals for the new boad software, which should at least make them easier to spot, and because we'll be encouraging all discussions of designs to be done there, I think we'll be able to get folks to check it just as much as they do the boards. It'll just take some getting accustomed to.

Trik,

I have no problems with people posting a game idea and asking specific questions about that idea, what I can not tolerate is people just posting game ideas with no real purpose for doing so. Ideally the GDW is better suited to handle such posts but I understand your ideas might not be developed enough to do so yet. As long as you post something that will stimulate some good conversation, I personally don't have a problem with it.
