Actually, I'm certain people could help. I, for one, find these questions interesting. My guess is just that you got unlucky and no one took the time.

Perhaps you could ask the BoardGameGeek (www.bgg.com), it's much higher traffic and it's about boardgames in general not just designing them.

Question 1: What Type Of Card Is Used In Board Games?
Many many different types, size, textures, robustness. Currently, the small cards 2 inch by 3 are very popular. You also have games with Tarot-sized cards.

Question 3: Is There A Standered Size A Board Game Must be When It Is Folded Out And Folding In?
I don't think so. They come in all size and shape.

Question 4: What Fonts Are Best For Use On Board Games?
Good question. I don't know.

Question 5: Are There Any Preffered Colours That Should Be Used?
Yes. And particularly combination of colours. You have to account for usability and people that are color-blind. Pastels seems to be hot right now.

Question 6: Any Other Useful Infomation That You Could Share?

4. fonts used will vary enormously... they obviously have to fit with the theme of the game, so a medieval game will use gothic style fonts often, and an egyptian game will use..... an egyptian-looking font!

for the text, they seem to use serif fonts mostly as it's a print medium.

5. i saw a thread somewhere about color choices for pieces, it was pretty interesting. Like hpox said, you have to take into account color-blindness so you shouldn't have both red and green, for example (i think that's the right combo). Primary colours used to be the most popular, not sure about now. For example, Ticket to Ride, a popular game, comes with red, blue, yellow, black and (white?) pieces.

I think all games will vary depending on designer and game itself but I will say for myself to these questions what my opinion is which dont count even to my wife but here goes

Question 1: What Type Of Card Is Used In Board Games?

I used a business card then laminated with a logo on the front. Then decided to go with a heavier paper and cut a design in them to suit my game. Then laminated. I have quotes which were too expensive to go with for playing card size or bridge sized playing cards. If you need a cheap version go with recipe cards which come blank and are cut 3X5 already and laminate nicely.

Question 2: What Type Of Plastic Is Used In The Making Of The Counters etc?

You can use styrene which is the cheapest for a smooth finish but if you want the texture rough feel then go with the more rugid ABS plastic. Most injectors will use either and thermoformers will use them as well. Stay away from virgin material ask for regrind if buying material to run your parts as its half the price.

Question 3: Is There A Standered Size A Board Game Must be When It Is Folded Out And Folding In?

I believe each game will vary depending on the design of the game and designer nothing written in stone. Look at twister to candyland to Axis and allies to chess.

Question 4: What Fonts Are Best For Use On Board Games?

I stay with standard easy to read fonts nothign fancy nor cartoony. Easier to make it for the printer to run off the less expensive and room for error as possible.

Question 5: Are There Any Preffered Colours That Should Be Used?

Standard sets have colors already in place.

Question 6: Any Other Useful Infomation That You Could Share?

DONT GIVE UP
DONT ACCEPT A NO
HAVE FUN

Thankyou in advanced[/quote[/b]
