If there were a prototype aspect to BGG.con 2006, what would be your thoughts on that? Would you be more likely to go? Less likely? What should it entail?
I'd like to hear your comments on this.

I missed out on last BGG.con 2005 because my family was visiting town that weekend. I am definitely going this year.
I would love for there to be a prototype aspect to the con. Gathering playtest feedback from people outside your local circle is invaluable. I am imagining a section reserved for prototypes where other designers as well as the general gamer attendees would try out your game. I don't know if it has to be any more structured than that.

I would definitely attend if there was a prototype testing track.

Abnd if there weren't?

I wouldn't go -- unless I knew I could hook up with other BGDFers and playtest designs on the side. Having an "official" playtesting track is not as important to me as having *some* kind of opportunity to meet with fellow designers and bang on our games for a couple of days...

Under my current circumstance traveling to Texas from Michigan is not an option. As much I would love to go to one more gaming convention this year I can’t justify the time or money it would take. I will be meeting up with fellow game designers to play test at Protospiel this summer so even if BGG.CON had that going for it, it would not be a sufficient draw for me.
