Hi

I am a recruiter for a toy company located in sunny Southern California.
I am currently looking for board/card game designers, nothing that uses electronics, just your good old imagination!!! If you are interested, or you know anyone who is please please please have them contact me.

Send your resume to recruitment@mgae.com and mention that you saw this note on bgdf.com

Thanks and I look forward to all responses.

This does not belong in Game Design. Moved to Off-Topic.

I think making game design as a job is abit complicated. I mean I don't see myself working 9 to 5 sitting at a desk and trying to think about a game. I generaly find new game idea in my shower or while I am sleeping (Yes, I sometimes do).

Of course, there is the creative part and the productive part to do in game design. So I imagine that you could do the productive part in a conventional working way.

I submitted a resume to the link given here... haven't heard back but didn't really expect to.... anyone heard back from this guy? MGA Entertainment is in fact quite a reputable toy company based in California and it might be a sweet gig to get in on the ground floor if they're creating a "real" boardgame division; the board games they've got on their product list so far all seem to be based on their Bratz dolls brand and are assumedly not "gamer's" games, Cali is a bit of a commute for me (Toronto, baby) so methinks there's not going to be a response in my inbox any time soon...

I also submitted a resume to this post, as I generally drop a resume/cover letter to most toy/game manufacturers at least once a year... you know, to... um... keep my name out there. :)

I have not heard back yet, either, but I only sent this off a short time ago. I would imagine 10-15 business days would be a realistic time to hear back from them if a resume resonates with them.
