Registration opened yesterday.

I am going and have bought my event tickets. A couple years ago I started a tradition I hope to continue where my son(s) and I go to GENCON each year.

Anyone want to meet us for dinner some night? Maybe play a game if we have enough players and the time.

Let me know.

I'll be exhibiting -- stop by my booth (Synelix Games) and say hi!

Unless something drastic changes I plan to be at Gencon Indy this August for business and fun. I should be able to schedule a little time to meet up with other BGDFers one of the nights.

BTW- Emphyrio is that when you plan to release Venus Needs Men?

I will be there, unless something major occurs before the trip. Sadly I will not be there this year as an exhibitor. There was just not enough time over the past year for me and others in the company to finish any type of quality products to exhibit this year.

But that means I get to GO HAVE FUN!!!

John you need any help at the booth??? I would go over to the booth and help you out! Your game was so much fun the last time I played!

By the way, if you are going to GenCON and are interested in RPGs, there should be 3 events for Adventures In Fantasy. One of the other guys I work with is going to hold a couple scheduled events.

So check it out if you have time and are interested!

Yeah, but it has been rough journey for me. I dont think I would have gone the same path after learning so much over the last 7 years.

It should be available in mid-June, just in time for Origins.

Thanks! I'll have at least one other person helping out, but the more the merrier!

I hope to make it to GenCon Indy this year but something tells me I'll be too exhausted. I'll just be getting back from visiting my in-laws in Japan a few days before the con (and getting right back to work with jet lag). I shall seriously try though since I enjoyed it last year.

Hey, bought my admission a few days ago, so I will definitely be there! Will bring prototypes of my modest little game--and would LOVE to get some BGDF'ers together for some quality playtesting! And of course, I want to support (read: buy products of) the folks who will be there, exhibiting or no, so be sure to post if you're going!

Haven't gotten my ticket yet, but I plan on being there (already have a hotel room, I know, it's backwards) Just waiting on what the USAF is going to do with me this summer. I plan on bringing at least one of my games, and would love to meet/playtest with folks during one of the days. Open gaming rooms are always the best for wrangling some new playtesters too.....

Ok,

Why dont we try to work out a tentative meeting time for all BGDFers to meet?

Which night would be best (I say night since I know those who are exhibiting will be busy during the day)? Friday or Saturday

Would meeting on Friday or Saturday night around 8pm work for you?

I vote Friday 8PM, but will make myself available either night to hook up with you folks!

If we had enough people it would be fun to play Werewolf. Its light, good with large numbers and very social.

I am available:
7pm Thursday or
8pm friday

Maybe a good place to meet would be in the board game area. We could do what ever we wanted in some corner

I've been going over my Gen Con schedule and I wanted to figure out when and where all the BGDFer are going to meet. I'm free Thursday and Friday night to meet and playtest. The board game room sounds like a good meeting place. If nobody objects, that's where I'll be waiting, probably Friday. I plan on making a BGDF button to wear so people will recognize me.

I'm planning on going. I will try to make the friday at 8 meeting, sounds like fun.

I am also considering bringing a prototype and just setting up in the board game room to try to get pick up playtesters, probably only do this for a few hours on one day. Anyone think this will work? Is it Hubris? Anyone tried anything like this?

Should we all wear carnations in our lapels? :)

See you all there.

I was just gonna go with my Jellyfish Avatar...or a live weasel. I still can't decide.

It's certainly worth a try, and especially if your prototype doesn't take too long to play I'd think you could find people willing to do it. Zev from Z-Man Games was running some playtests at Origins.

Z-Man will be at Gen Con

I will be at booth 401 during hall hours. But I also plan to be playtesting in the boardgame room in the evening. If you want to come by and help playtest please do so. If you want to show me your games, either catch me in the room and we can decide when to do it or stop by my booth and make an appointment.

I'll also be at the WBC in Lancaster the week before Gen Con.
