I've been using Google's free beta email for a while now and recently received a couple of additional invitations. If members here would like them please leave a reply or send me a PM. I'll give slight preference to folks that have been here a while but it's more-or-less first-come first-served.

I signed up a couple of months ago, but I haven't really used it (and I haven't received any invitations).

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but it seems like gmail is using google's search technology to make a database of as much information as possible about its users. It will have a permanent record of all your email it even keeps what you delete and the 1 gig limit doesn't apply to that. It will have a graph of how everyone inter-relates. http://www.gmail-is-too-creepy.com/ seems to make too much sense.

What's wrong with pop3 email? 1 Gig off your HD isn't very much.

Access to my email from any device that's connected to the net, anywhere, importantly including older mail from any time since I set it up. That's why I dig it. Plus it does a great job of threading my many mailing lists, making it much easier to work with the flood of mail they sometimes generate.

Gmail has been great so far. A friend of mine invited me a few months ago and I use it for just about everything. Helps to keep the tremorworks account clean, you know?

I got an invite too, but that went to my wife :)
