Hello!

Hi and Welcome.

We were all new at some time :-) so we know what it's like.

Hello!

I'm also new here, so I ought to say hi as well.

I'm also a student; I've been interested in making board games for a few years, with some serious attempts at games, but nothing I feel reached completion. I always had a problem finding people sufficiently interested in game development to talk about it, so I'm rather pleased to find a site with this many users.

Oh well, I suppose I should dump my more developed ideas on some forum or other and wait for them get picked apart. ;) Is there a forum for half-boiled ideas?

Try entering your ideas in one of the journals. Usually you'll get some people to nit-pick through it and ask and give different questions.

If you have some certain ideas (like relating to theme and mechanics) place them into the Game Design Forum. You'll get a lot of answers as its been pretty bare for awhile.

Then when you have a complete game design get a spot for the Ggame Designers Workshop. You'll get your game reviewed by a lot of people. Its great fun, and a lot of help.

Welcome and hope you stay awhile!
