Anyone else going? It is a yearly pilgrimage for me. This year I'll be working Sat/Sun at the Kenzer & Company booth running demos of The Great Space Race and the Tech Support card game (if my free demo kit ever arrives).

I hope to be able to find time and players for a game of D&D (old Red Box), Marvel Super Heroes, Teenagers From Outer Space, Fuzzy Knights and a bit of Yu-Gi-Oh.

I'll be exhibiting at Origins too -- stop by my booth (Synelix Games / Venus Needs Men) and take a look!

If I get a chance, I'll definitely head to the KenzerCo booth -- I've been a KoDT fan for years.

I'll be sure to look you up. What is your booth number? I don't see Synelix Games listed in the Origins pre-reg book.

So is this it? Only two people in the entire forum are going to Origins?

Well I believe that SiskNY (who has not been on the forums in a while) is attending Origins. I know this because I might tag along for the weekend. But I am still 50-50 on attending at this time.

I have a business trip to nearby Cincinnati. The trip could be arranged to be right before or right after Origins, so I could pop up to Columbus. I am all excited.

And then I spent this week sick, and the whole thing is shot. The biz trip is now a week after. No Origins for me this year.

Oh well, I was hoping to find playtesters there to try out my Game of Gamers design. Or at least the spin-off version of it called Kenzerland Chaos. I guess I can still find players from amoung the Kenzerites at the Kenzer & Company booth.

I'll be there Fri-Sun. I'm scheduled to give a talk on "How to Design Games" at 1 Friday. Otherwise I go to talk with publishers and look at new stuff, not to play games (which one can do at home...)

This is my current schedule at the Kenzer & Company booth.

Saturday: Tech Support card game: 10am-2pm

Sunday: Great Space Race board game: 10am-12pm, and 1pm-3pm

Any other games I want to run will be at open play tables or just a space of carpet in one of the halls. Look for the guy wearing camoflauge shorts and vest with a black Mecha Godzilla unit cap.

I will be there all 4 days, mostly checking out the new stuff or things new to me.

I've hit the seminar circuit pretty hard the last 3 years and am only attending a couple this year.

I'm sure I'll hit both booths listed and check out the stuff.

Hope everyone enjoys the con!

Wow, great convention as usual. It turns out that rather that demoing the free games of Great Space Race at the Kenzer & Company booth, they had me scheduled to run it (and the Tech Support card game) as ticketed events in the tabletop gaming room.

GSR is an awesomely fun game. I loved the chain reactions and domino-like disasters that ended some of the games early. It lends itself well to house rules too for things that weren't covered in the instructions. Some that I actually cleared with the game's designer.

Lots of great swag too including free d6s from Crystal Caste and customdice.com and Horrorclix figures.
