I'm proud to say I once met Douglas Adams at a book signing of his in Madison, WI many years ago. I had him sign my leather bound copy of Hitchhikers Guide...

My nick name has been KD since I was in grade school many moons ago(over 40 years). Which is the letters of my first and last names. Back in 1996 I started writing Gamemaker on all my games just to keep my hopes up I think, anyway to pump myself up I promised my self ( since no one else was in the room at the time) that I would'nt use that title until I had two game out and on toy store shelfs. I cheated alittle, been using it since I signed my first game, but when 2nd game is in stores I will use it for all (e-mail-etc;)
When I was really into playing Magic, I met Dan Frazier (one of the M:tG artists). He was showing some art work he had done for the upcoming Ice Age expansion, and one of the cards was "Pentacle of the Ice Mage." It sounded cool, so I nabbed it. Yep, that's me - original thinker and all that. Anyway, the card later got renamed to Pentagram of the Ages for printing, but I kept on using theicemage. I even have www.theicemage.com for my various interests. :-)
My nickname comes from a late night of gaming.
One night way too past tired, I tried to tell a fellow gamer
he was my mortal enemy and he was my super enemy at the same time.
Out came Smortal.
The name stuck and I started my game company out of it.
Soon to be final playtesting is a new racing card game called smortal racing.
Sometimes it just happens!! We just don't know how!!
Mine comes from an utter lack of originality, combined with a desire to see my name in as many places as humanly possible.
Angel is an anagram for my first name Galen. I am the son of Richard, therefore, Richardson. Maybe some of you were hoping for me to be a young beautiful blonde, but I am an old bald man of 51 years. I am impressed with this site and the people here. It is an honor to be in the company of so many capable and interesting minds.
Maybe some of you were hoping for me to be a young beautiful blonde,
Redhead, but close.
