Why does this seem like a lame attempt at a shameless promotion?

At least they had the courtesy to join a month in advance of the shameless plug. Although, I would be surprised if hasbro thought BGDF was worth the time.

This PR genius is all over the web posting virtually the same stuff on various forums. He/She didn't even bother to change user names. Here's a sampling:

The sad part is, not everyone on other forums is picking up on the ruse.

Maybe not.. But you are spamming this site trying to promote your product, which to me is kind of lame..

Mr. (or Mrs.) outta_space,

Are you willing to tell us who you are and who you work for? Given your activity on the web, you clearly have specific promotional motives tied to the SNL game. Given my own marketing/business background and training, I'm curious to know about your actual involvement in the game and how you think your postings throughout the web are helpful for your product. (If you're not picking-up on my subtle invite here, this is your chance to contribute in a positive manner to the BGDF vs. simply spamming us with your product promos. It's up to you whether you come clean, but I am curious to understand your angle and approach). Any insight you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks.

Personally, if this *is* an attempt at a type of viral marketing, I'd be curious how well it's working. Maybe outta_space could give us feedback on the planned process and if results are meeting expectations/hopes.
