Interview on Advertising a Board game

I'm a student and within my coursework of Graphic Design, i am asked to produce an interview with a shop owner of a Board Game shop.
I am aware this isn't a boardgame shop but i was hoping people who knew more about advertising and selling board games could help me on this,

You could answer my interview via email or on this forum. I would just really like an experts opinion instead of me making it up with it looking unprofessional. If you think you could answer questions like,
Typical customers when buying boardgames?
What is the best selling board game?
Why do you think this?
What types/strategys of board games sell most?
When is the busiest times of year for board games?
When is it the slowest?
etc then could you please help me out! i would be very gratefull.

However please keep in mind that these questions are more aimed at the shop owner, so if you are not a shop owner/manager etc then try to answer them as if you were. Hope it's not too much to ask - If anything i have said isn't very clear, please let me know and i will try to explain it furthur.

Thank you :)

There are certainly a few people on this forum who could help you out somewhat with your request, but I really think you would be much better off contacting the actual shop owner of an actual board game shop. The questions you need answered seem very specific to exactly that interviewee, not just to people who are familiar with the board games world in general.

Just look up game and hobby stores in your local phone book and give them a call. People who work at/own board game shops in my experience have unvaryingly been accomodating and helpful.

yg169: I think that you could help Katey by answering these questions:

And ask if there's been an uptick in board gaming since 9/11. I heard that from one retailer here in the US.
