has anyone ever sold a game , and if so , how much is the usual price when you do sell an idea.do yuo get it all at once or in payments , cuz some talk about royalties .. so how does that all work?? im totally ignorent with all this stuff.

Hello Bearfoot,

These kind of question get asked a lot by people new to the board game industry. Please read this thread first, it should answer a lot of your questions: http://www.bgdf.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=3531

In short: you probably won't get very wealthy as a game designer, game ideas are a dime a dozen, patenting your game idea isn't worth the trouble, and you needn't worry much about your game idea getting stolen.

If you have any questions left, feel free to ask them.
