It may have been done quite often but I doubt to death.
It also depends on what you are looking for and to me there are none that interests my tastes. So back in 99 I have started working on a few new projects. But to your post I am currently working on a Trading Card Game. This game does have series of cards to play with but there are no miniture figurines. What takes place of the minitures of this game is colored marker pebbles to mark out each location when protected or defeated.
The game consists of three different decks.
one deck has 6,278 cards to use
the second deck has 6,018 cards to use
and the third has only 4,953 off the top of my head.
the entire deck of cards total contains 16,126 cards to collect, trade, and add to your playing field.
Like I said before it all depends on what you like, what you want to see differently in your game and how it all falls accordingly to what the customer would like to see on the market.
If you have any other suggestions or ideas or get stuck on something feel free to email me sometime and lets see what you have.Just give me some ideas on what you are looking for so I can help you out to decide on your decision.
Good Luck and see you in the future of gaming.

the eight foot tall decks of cards

Mystic Ghost,

Your game has HOW many cards per deck?

You said the first deck has 6,278 cards. Figuring that a 60 card deck is about one inch tall (roughly) that would give you a deck that is about 100 inches tall, or about 8 feet. Putting all three decks together (16,126 cards) would give you a deck that is about 22 feet tall.

What kind of table do you have to play this game on?

Do you mean there are 6,000 cards per series and that your game has three different series? Still that is a tremendous number of cards to design, do art for, playtest, redesign, name, modify, and finally distribute.

You have held my interest. How on Earth does this game work?[/b]
