Hello

I have board game designers block.
After looking over my party game I decided it was too complicated for a party game so I have simplified it and added a board for player movement points. So the less clues you hear the more movement squares you move up the board to the top movement on the board being right to left along steps.
However to make the game a bit more player interactive I thought up a mechanic of players having two teleport chips each. When players play a teleport chip and win the round they move two floors up toward the top and winning square. When a player runs out of their two teleport chips they can only from then on move right to left as normal.
I was going to leave this rule at this but then thought of the rule that if a player or team play a teleport chip and they lose the round to another player without any chips then the winning player without chips moves their pawn two floors up. Also two teleport chips only get a player or team about half way up toward the winning square so then its only right to left winning rounds to win after that.
Im thinking this sounds pretty crap but my brains fuzzy and cannot think straight right now I need a break so I thought I would ask my fellow inventor friends.
Thanks a lot

OK, so let me get this straight:

Each player has 2 Teleport chips.
Instead of answering questions and moving an amount of squares based on the number of clues they hear, players can put down a Teleport chip and whoever answers correctly first moves 2 "levels" upward rather than some number of "steps" upward (with X steps/level, I'm assuming).

And there's 8 "levels", so winning your two Teleport challenges gets you halfway along, and winning 2 Teleport challenges initiated by other players in addition to your own can basically win you the game.

That sounds like a huge advantage to the smarter player. You might want to make them Switch chips, where you get to trade places with the player of your choice if you can answer the question before him. That ensures that already-successful players can't abuse them to win while the other players are on the first "level".

Good luck!

Hello
Thanks for that reply

Well seems so it is advantage to brainy Einsteins but depends where you are on the board and when you play your chipsas I see it.

The board by the way is a pyramid
There are 7 blocks on the bottom of the pyramid next level up 6 blocks next 6 blocks next 6 next 5 next 4 next 3 next 2 and top one block

Your saying swap places with the leader if you get the round?
Thanks

So

So people
I have the rules where people can teleport with their two teleport chips up the board to the game leader and one space ahead.
However the game leader needs to have some movement advantage if they win the round from others playing their teleport chip.
Also the game leader may be playing a teleport chip and also othe players too playing a teleport chip so three different things the game leader not playing a teleport chip but other player or players are and the game leader playing a teleport chip and no other players playing a teleport chip and the game leader playing a teleport chip and also other player(s) playing a teleport chip.

Any ideas people?
