Turnless Card Game - Inspiration

Last night as I was trying to fall asleep, all of a sudden I am jerked awake by some powerful creative force. It is like I have seen the game (one that only the theme has been thought of by me) in its finished stages and I run upstairs to write it down. I am just wondering if there are any games like it.

Players: 2
Goal Game time: under 5 minutes (more like 2 mins though)
There would be 5 'character' cards placed between both players, and then players can play on either side of the character cards in the game (so 10 places to play a card). Instant replenish of the cards you play. The cards can only be played in certain order. And then when the cards run out, or one player has their side comepletely done the game is over, and the winner is determined.

At a goal of 2 minutes a game I think it is a nice bonus that playtesting will be fast, and broken cards will not matter so much (maybe even encouraged)

Broken cards would add to the effect of, "Oh! you got the Widget of Doom this game, darn!" Which is ok if you are only investing 2 minutes a game :)

You HAVE seen the game. It's called Brawl. James Earnest games made a bigger, more ambitious 'real time card game' called Fightball... I've never played it but from what I can tell it's more trouble than it's worth- takes longer to score the game than to play it.

Nah, this is different

This is different from Brawl. I'll have to make a prototype and send it down to you Seth

Well, it sounds exactly the same as Fightball. Only that has like 24 places to place cards. But the cards have to be placed in a certain order.
