Another convention playtest session (shameless plug alert)

Hi everyone...

Please excuse me if this seems too much like shilling... but I am going to be running a playtest session at a local (New Jersey/New York City area) game convention.

The session will probably start on Saturday, October 16, at 10:00 am. I'm expecting it to run 4-6 hours, though details will be finalized once the convention bigwigs post the con schedule.

You may want to hold off on registering for now, because I want to see if I can get my paws on a discount code. But if you're sure you're going, you may want to book your hotel room ASAP.

If you're around the New York City/Meadowlands area, you may want to stop by and check it out!

Sweet!! A con within 7 hours driving distance!

What's the format of the con? Is it board game heavy or RPG? Similar to other cons (like Origins or GenCon)?

It has lots of stuff... RPG, LARP, and minis are all well-represented. One of the con's biggest draws is the LAN; there's a lot of fans of that. There's also a popular Console room.

I'm on the boardgame staff, and I'm pretty proud to see it balloon into one of the major aspects of the con. I'll be running events all weekend, but the prototype stuff is probably what I'm the most excited about.

The attendance at the last con was about 1400+ people, so it's not a HUGE con, but it's pretty well-attended.

The Prototype Game Workshop is this weekend.

I've shortened it back to four hours, because I haven't gotten a particularly strong response to it yet.
