Yeah, well if it's a project called "Bury Scurra in 100,000 ants", then I can't help.

If it was a project called "Bury Sedjtroll in 100,000 ants", otoh.... sadly I still couldn't help.

I could probably do you 100,000 little plastic magnifying glasses so you could set fire to them though. :-)

I Googled "plastic ants" and got this ...

Any help for you there?

All the places I searched for and got hits back from yahoo and google were all retail stores. Buying 100k ants 100 at a time for 3.99 would be really expensive

Have you contacted any of the retailers to find out who they buy them from. In all likelihood, you'll probably need to follow that chain down a couple more steps to find a true manufacturer.

As another approach, you could contact a plastics manufacturer, like Rolco, to see what it would cost for them to make them as a custom item?

Wherever you buy them from, be sure to get samples first. I bought small plastic ants online (in small quantities) and in local stores for a prototype, and all of them were very poor quality, with lots of flashing between the legs, flashing that is effectively impossible to remove.

Im thinking it might be more cost effective and efficient to get square diecut ant images on cardboard made.
