Just noticed a List over at BGG that lists games that could benefit from 5- and/or 7-sided dice (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist.php3?action=view&listid=6264) ...

And the author gives links to some examples of these oddly things:
5-sided: http://shop.rpg.net/product_info.php?products_id=35686
7-sided: http://shop.rpg.net/product_info.php?products_id=35373

Not exactly sure how that 7-sider is supposed to work, but hey ... ;-)

Nice site... more kinds of dice and counters than I've ever seen in my life. They've even got an electronic die for the lazy. Some of those things could inspire a game or two - weather dice? http://shop.rpg.net/product_info.php?products_id=35492&

I've also never seen place value dice before (a set of d10's with different labels: 1's, 10's, 100's, and 1000's), kind of elegant.

I like using different sided dice to solve combats, giving higher dice to better warriors and vice versa.

I think it's pretty elegant (and very funny when, for example, a 4-sided die warrior beats a 20-sided die one in a roll)

So, those 5 and 7-sided (and 16, 30, etc) dice could be interesting to get more variety in quality of warriors.

Greetings,

Roberto
