I have a question that I hope the experts here can give some advice on. I want to add a spinner to my game, but not the standard spinner everyone knows about. The name of the game escapes me right now, but there was a game with a plastic dome that you pushed down on and the dice inside would pop up.

What I am envisioning is something similar, but with a spinner inside that would spin as you pushed it down and stop on different spots that would have you do things like...lose a turn, collect money, etc. Does anyone know if something like this exists? If so, where can I find it? Thanks for your help.

The game with the popping dice cup was Trouble.

The press-down spinner rings a bell for me but I'm not certain where... the principle is in action in many baby toys (i have a 9-month-old nephew who has an enclosed ball "bubbler" that works when you press down from the top) but those are too expensive and bulky to convert to a game component.. I'll do a bit of searching and see if I can come up with anything.

Thanks Josh. I appreciate your help. I am hoping to find something that will not only work, but be cost effective at the same time. I don't want anything that permanently attaches to the board as that would also increase costs.

yes a salad spinner. and yes there are a lot of children's toys that do this sort of thing, but I can't think of anything small, as would fit in a game box.

peace,
Tom
