Current state of what the game is at the moment:

The game is called Spielunker.
The game is a tile placement game where the players move their explorer through the cave system, scoring points by making it to the exit and finding/documenting interesting 'things' (to be defined later) along the way.
The game will use a tile system based upon FastLearners demo in This post.
The game will use a robust action point system as the basis for how the explorers interact with the game world. This action point system will determine how far a player can move, manage obstacle resolution, tie in directly with the searching mechanic, be used to resolve penalties, and possibly be used in conjuction with the tile placement mechanism.
Equipment will be used in such a manner as to aid in the resolution of obstacles. This might either be total resolution of the obstacle or partial.
