I gave my new artist a lot of room to work with and I personally love what she was able to come up with in such a short time. I gave her a few criteria and this is what she showed me two days later. Thoughts?

If the link does not work I apologize, I'm reworking the site and its coming along slowly.
EDIT: Completely forgot that I disabled hotlinking. That new link should work.

I quite like it, although I'm

I quite like it, although I'm curious as to what the dimensions of the card are going to be. If you go with "traditional" MtG dimension, it might feel a little small.

I think it's a nice one,

I think it's a nice one, except: keep in mind, that the name of the card can - and often will be - much longer than the string "name". Currently I see the design severly limiting the name length. Imho it would be best to leave the whole width for it, or at least most of it

Cool!

I like the overall design as a rough look at the card back/front.

On what I'm assuming is the card back, where it says "Name" will this be different for each card, or are there several sets of cards? Or are we talking the name of the game in there?

I like the impression of a bloodshot eye on the back.

On the card face, will these be held in a hand and fanned out? If so, what's the most important number or symbol the player will need to see? This should go in the upper left, where a hand of say 5 cards can be fanned and that number or symbol can be easily seen.

wasted space?

Feels like there's a bit of wasted space. Does that thing in the upper left need to be star-shaped?

I'm all for maximizing card space. So personally, anywhere that I can reduce the "scales" on the background would be what I would do. But that's personal preference.
