Perfect for quick art for game prototypes. Useful and cute.

I don't know if something

I don't know if something went wrong, but it always generate the same monster (a wolf in pink) for me.

It's true that pixel art is an easy way to do quick art, but it is still not that easy to do good pixel art.

Did the same thing for me ... until

You need to click and then move the mouse and the picture will refresh. My guess is that there is an artist that designed a bunch of "heads", "bodies" and "legs". Then the randomizer takes over. The one thing I am uncertain about is how he "colors" the monster... Not sure how to do that with a SWF. Maybe a layer with like 50% opacity or something similar... Not certain.

Cute!

Very funny for a while :)

questccg: If you started to explain it:
An easy way how to combine a color with a shape in flash is to make a movieclip inside a movieclip. One of them runs over the shapes, the other runs over the colors (colored with one color and then used a filter to change the hue).
The second way is to control the colorfilter through a script.
Look at my flash board game: www.divoshi.com ;-)

Well I'm pretty sure the randomizing is done using actionscript. I just don't know how to use a *filter* to change the hue... I'm not that experienced with Flash. I have done some clips for my website and a game demo but nothing like your game... Not sure how to program something like that...
