Game idea from the Gods

I am working on a game concept idea that uses praying to your cultures gods to gain favor with them and increase your power in specific areas to gain victory points. Ultimately trying to trigger end of game by gaining control of the temple in the inner region where a great source of power gathers. Control of areas will change based on the amount of influence each culture has there. You must control a certain amount of the area to be able to claim that your culture has full dominance and take the temple to end the game.

Players will attain this goal by gaining a strategic advantage based on the god they decide to influence and pray to. Each god will give a single bonus and an option of other things that can happen if you have the resources to pay for it.

How it all works.

Each players use 6 dice they roll. That is there resources. You use resources to influence (bid) on the god of your choice. If your not out bid those resources are used up to gain the gods favor and you can use what is left for what the god offers you.

The gods of each culture are broken up into tiers (most powerful gods at the top tier, and then down the tier). The higher on the tier of the gods you successfully gain favor of the longer the cool down timer on that tier for you as a player. Only one player can gain favor of gods on a tier. When a god of your religious culture is not on a cool down timer after a certain turn it actually has a negative affect on your civilization. Gods abilities can range from anything to giving you an extra resource dice or giving you the ability to change a single dice. I have more ideas but at this time things are flying around like mad in this head of mine so I wanted to get feedback on what I have so far.
