This is the current state of the game:

I am still looking for 2 more creature powers and what item I'm going to use for the purple's power (orb/staff/pointy hat/wand/something else??)

What do you think of the current creature powers and do you have any ideas for the missing ones?

Thanks!

Checking your cards. They

Checking your cards. They look good. I guess, you are almost finished.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I have always learned:
It is "an usable item" not "a usable item". Even though the internet is crammed with the latter. :|

*****

When you target younger players for this game, I think "Slime" would be a better name then "Ooze"?

To answer your question.
- A scarab? You loose one gold. Power 1.
- Then for other creatures that fit in a dungeon: Trolls (power 2), snake (power 1), rats (a group of, power can be 1 or 2).
Personally, the troll is a good variant fitting the goblin. They often come together in a game.

The purple item. By looking at its power. It is indeed a magic item. When you think about what the players are already able to take with them. I would go with a Witch Hat.

The general rule is, "an" is used with words starting with a vowel. However, it really comes down to pronunciation of the word. Example: So it's an undergraduate, an ugly duckling and an umbrella but a uniform, a united team and a utensil.

Yeah, I have had trolls, snakes, rats before but no power associated with them but those are always classic. The scarab may be a good one too, thanks.

Thanks for your vote for the hat. I am collecting all votes and will determine it soon.

From my experience, it is always a good idea to bring rope into a dungeon. Maybe that could be the other card?

Other creatures could be an animated skeleton, a dragon, or a troll.

Yeah...basically, if the word starts with a vowel SOUND. In the case of uniform and utensil, the starting sound is "y" whereas the starting sound is umbrella is "u." As one more example, I wrote this AN hour ago.

Magic Item

Since the undecided item is affected by magic scrolls and spells, why not let it be a ring, amulet, or some other sort of magical jewelry? You already have a magical tome, so it ought to be different.

As for potential powers:
- You must Discard one Scroll of your choice from your hand to score this Creature after you Return Home.
- All Creatures scored after this one have their gold value doubled.
- This Creature is such a weakling that only the third card of this type will cause you to Flee.
- Poison Needle: you may only draw two more cards in this dungeon, then you must Return Home. If you draw a second Poison Needle, you must Flee.
- The next card you place in the dungeon must be from the bottom of the deck.
- You must have an empty hand when you Return Home (no scrolls left), or reduce your score by half (rounding up) at the end of this round.
- Earn five gold when scoring - even if you were forced to Flee - if Bad Juju is used on you this round.
- If you are forced to Flee this round, before the next round begins draw one card at a time until you have a full hand of three Scrolls. Discard the rest.
- When you use a Torch, flip this Creature instead of the Torch.
- Discard Bad Juju on your turn to place your next card from the Dungeon on top of this Creature instead of next to it. No player is affected by Bad Juju this round.

Those are a couple potential powers. Hopefully they're useful in some way.

The game's looking good! :D
