Ok - silly question - I want to attach a PDF but I get this message

The selected file Surfing FD.pdf could not be uploaded. The file is 164.12 KB which would exceed your disk quota of 8 MB

What's the dealio with that?

Actual disk quota

You've got the right method - and PDF's are allowed. I've never seen someone reach the 8mb limit before!

Normal users have a cap at 8 mb of total uploaded files to the server; looking back at your history I see you've posted a lot of images in the past, which explains it. It's not a great system, and really dates the platform we're running on here.

Until an update, I suggest using an external free service like http://ge.tt that not only allows you to post short-links to a file or folder, but also tracks how many times it's downloaded.

Actually, I have had this

Actually, I have had this problem for 1 month now.
I don't know if I have posted about it. I have mentioned before that I can't post pictures though.

Perhaps there are more people with this issue?

file limits

X3M - yes, anyone with a lot of uploads historically won't be able to upload and more images/pdfs or anything, really. The limit is pretty low, honestly. Until we have the next BGDF major update, I suggest using an external image host and linking it using an < img > tag.
