Generally speaking, some total adding up to 7 is the most likely, since there are more combinations for 7 than any other number. The numbers with fewer possible combinations (like rolling a 2 or a 12, each having one possible combination)have a much lower probability.

I know you got it already, but when I need to figure out probability I go to anydice.com
For your specific question, I'd then type "output 2d6" on the site and calculate.
Sorry guys, was being dense last night and didn't ask my question properly. I figured it out in the meantime. :-)
