Swap two Letters

A word game idea for 3 - 5 players.

Things
Letter tiles, a grid and a rule book.

Let us create a tiny crossword, 3 x 3 letters. It has words hot, are, yen, hay, ore, ten.

--1 2 3
a HOT
b ARE
c YEN

Then we swap 2 adjacent letters to exchange their place.
H and A, O and R, Y and E, E and N.
(a1 and b1, a2 and b2, c1 and c2, b3 and c3)

We get a mixed crossword.

--1 2 3
a ART
b HON
c EYE

Above seen work is done beforehand by game designer.
And this mixed version is what players see at the beginning of the round.

Set-up.

Letter tiles are arranged along the mixed places, how the rule book shows.

One player is chosen to be the game master.
Her task is check if player's move is correct.
Game master reads a table of moves, which has been done with a computer.
For example
b2-b1 false
b2-a2 ok
b2-b3 false
b2-c2 false.

Game's objective. Players should undo all exchanges and repair crossword.

Play
On her turn a player announces one letter tile swap.
Game master tells if that's a legal move. If it was, tiles are exchanged.
Player earns one point. If a correct word appears, she earns two points.
If the whole crossword is repaired, player earns five points and a round is over.

Every round players see another mixed crossword and game master gets new sheet of table.
Crosswords vary from 4 x 4 ... to 6 x 8 letters. They may contain some empty squares.

Sure, this game needs more rules and some excitement.
Critique is welcome.
