Hi all,

As the winner of December's GDS, I am trying to refine my game, Cloak and Dagger and I would greatly appreciate any playtesting feedback you could offer. Below is the PnP, along with a pdf of the rules. Thanks in advance for any and all feedback!

Willing to playtest

I loved this game idea and the simplicity of it, so I'll gladly playtest it for you and let you know the results.

My initial concern is that statistically speaking, it seems most beneficial for both players to always imprison the first card played as it improves the odds of determining future cards and doesn't force the players into a decision of whether wrongly imprisoning the next card would lose them the game. I wonder if you would consider the idea of having one or more cards have an effect trigger when imprisoned. I would suggest the peasant, as they seem the most innocent and currently have no effect either way. Just my two cents.

Thanks

@Tsquared Thanks for helping me out! I share the same concern you do about the automatic first play, so I will be interested to hear your feedback. My initial playtesting has yielded mixed results on the subject.

Of course...

Of course, the more everybody knows that it is the correct first play, the more it no longer is, because the opponent 'knows' you're going to do it, and plays accordingly.

I'll print it out and give it a try.
