Do you think a Score Pad is a worthwhile ADDITION?

Have a look at this TGC sample Score Pad:

https://www.thegamecrafter.com/publish/product/SmallScorePadColor

I would want to know if SELLING as an Add-On the Score Pad of 40 pages would be a worthwhile addition to a Kickstarter Campaign? It costs $6.00 USD for one Score Pad (to make).

I believe I can fit four (4) Rounds on one page. So 40 x 4 = 160 rounds or 80 per player (the game is a two player duel).

I think of this because I can offer JUST the Score Pad for sale at a later time... Via "The Game Crafter" (TGC). For the players who like the extra recordings.

The way I see it, is that HAVING a Score Pad allows players to FOLLOW along a pre-programmed track and shows them HOW to easily compute scores. Then afterwards if they don't want to buy the Score Pad, they know how to use a plain sheet of paper and to compute scores (from the use of the Score Pad...)

What do you guys think??? Should this be an Add-On in the Backer-Kit?

Research

Two things to consider here, I suppose.

1. Are you doing this as a value-add for the player, or is it a necessity? This answer seems kind-of clear from what you describe above, but I wonder if you came to this realization yourself and it helped inform your consideration for developing a score pad.

2. How have score pads performed as add-ons to KS campaigns in the past? I have no idea how you will be able to research this beyond contacting campaign managers, but maybe you've done some of this already.

I have -no- experience running a KS campaign, but others here do. Hopefully they can provide you with more insight.

Wait.. the score pad costs

Wait.. the score pad costs SIX DOLLARS for 40 sheets?

No. That seems like a terrible addition. That's a HUGE price increase! I don't think I ever priced that from my manufacturer, but that seems like 10x too high.

I'd make a color PDF available if anyone wants to print it themselves.

Expense is Prohibitive

Yeah, on second thought I wouldn't purchase a score pad at that price even if it would let me shoot sparks outta my arse.

Jay103's suggestion of providing a download link for PnP seems like a much more affordable solution, all-round. It keeps your game at a lower price point, lower production cost, and still provides the value to your players.

Yeah that's what I was thinking ... Too expensive for sheets you just use and throw away. It's $6.00 USD + I need to make a couple bucks... So it would be close to $8.00 USD! There isn't sufficient VALUE for customers to merit this ADD-ON, right?

That's actually a GREAT idea! It would make for more entries per sheet (since I would use a Letter sized paper/page)... But that I can OFFER for FREE... So that's REAL COOL. I like it ... Very reasonable!

Added VALUE not COST... In this particular case!
