Hi everyone,

I've been looking online off and on for the past few months hoping to find somewhere that I could buy chits/tokens/cubes/ANYTHING that will work for my game.

I need 'pieces' that are half an inch long, wide, and tall. I don't care what the shape is as long as they are small and easily manageable with fingers.

The biggest issue I'm having is finding such pieces in 13 relatively distinct colours! I think the easiest combo would be something like: Black, Grey, White, Light Blue, Dark Blue, Light Orange, Dark Orange, etc. for Red, Green, Yellow.

I need 32 of each colour. I'm not willing to buy 1000 pieces of a single colour so I've come up dry. I would also like to avoid painting half inch cubes myself, but I am willing to do it if nothing pans out.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

Go to...

The Game Crafter: http://www.thegamecrafter.com

You can configure a game and add all the parts (and colours) you want. The only thing is that most parts come in eight (8) colours (Wooden cubes) or are colour specific like a "Carrot" (Orange), etc.

So maybe they may come up short (in terms of colours...)

Still go to The Game Crafter and post a message on the Support forum and ask JT where they get their "Wooden Cubes"... They buy them in eight (8) colours but maybe the manufacturer produces MORE colours...

Talk about it with them, maybe they can help you to get the missing colours... Obviously you would need to buy DIRECTLY from whoever manufactures for TGC.

Game Crafters was the first

Game Crafters was the first site I came upon a while ago. I could ask them if they can get other stock in. Thanks for the suggestion.

Closest I've found is 1cm

Closest I've found is 1cm cubes in 10 colors. If you find a good source that is closer to what you want, make sure to let us all know!

Cool!

Wow, that's really close to fitting the bill! I have not come across these before. I'm still waiting to hear back from Game Crafter, but if I don't, then I will definitely be picking up the set of 1000 cubes and then I can just paint 3 sets of the extras! Thanks for the info and I'll definitely let you know if I come up with anything!

Canadian Customer

Unfortunately everywhere I looked to find those cubes, including the site you mentioned, either doesn't ship to Canada, or they use UPS (which is a financial death sentence for Canadian customers because UPS charges a 'Customs Brokerage Fee' of about $50).

I found one, and only one place to find these cubes in Canada and the set sold is only 500 cubes for about $16. This works out to almost double the price, but I'm not too concerned because I would just be getting way more than I needed anyway.

Here is the site:

They are currently out of stock, but I have emailed them about restocking times.

Sabash! That's a freaking awesome resource. Anyone would be hard pressed to find a better deal for cubes.

Are you absolutely tied into cubes? You might check into beads at pandahall.com for alternatives...

Actually, the first thing I

Actually, the first thing I purchased for the game were flat-back rhinestones! Unfortunately they are WAY too hard to handle lol

I'll look through Pandahall and see if I can find anything else.

EDIT: I found some really good stuff at Panda Hall, unfortunately the shipping alone was $43, which is a total ripoff.

Found something!

Last night I found the following:

http://www.northernbeadcart.com/cart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=697

I think it's a little bit beyond what I want for prototyping, but I might just get them anyway since they almost a perfect match to what I am looking for when all is said and done!

EDIT: And there's these too http://www.northernbeadcart.com/cart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=44 which are a third of the cost and come in 100's rather than 30's. But I really like the cubes! I wish they were $2 rather than $3.25 each lot.

EDIT 2: I bought the cubes :)

Thank you everyone who suggested vendors to me!
